Just got back from my llmd appt. He put me on rimphan ( spelling)? And Zithromax to start.

Anyone else start with this combo?

Are you treating Bart? Is it Rifampin? I'm curious to see how it goes...I just started meds for Bart but not the same as you.

Remember to start off slow and with low doses to reduce your herxing!

Yes I am starting slow, ramping over a couple of weeks. He is treating the bart first Runner, what did you get to start with? I hear rifampin is pretty strong, I am a little nervous.

Good luck SailorKim! I haven't started Rifampin yet, but I've heard it can be pretty strong...so yes, start low and detox, detox...and be kind to yourself...don't push yourself.

Sailor I've been on Rifampin and zithromax since Feb 1. I herxed my butt off and still keep herxing. I herxed the first 15 day then finally my LD told me to back it off to 1 pill per evening of the Rifampin for 2 weeks before I move back up to 2 which is 600mg. The zithromax I only take Monday - Friday but Rifampin you supposedly can't pulse or it becomes resistant. I also take Tindimax 3 days out of the month. Just be careful.

By the way, what are your Bart symptoms?
