Hi All. So I've recovered to the point where I can now attend university and do a lot of physical activity (I was so unbelievably ill - debilitated for all of my 20s).

BUT there's this hormone issue that is lingering and controlling my life. I get SEVERE PMS. I've had to withdraw from university because of it.

I know I can't be alone in this. Bio-identical progesterone seemed to help for a while (actually really helped in 2012). No one has figured this out.

I still have occasional flashing lights in my eyes. Light sensitivity. PMS.

Can anyone relate?

Hi kayaklove - Did you treat the bartonella until you were symptom free and then a while longer?

Could you give us a little more information - when you got sick, and were you tested and treated by a LLMD?
With what and how long were you treated?

There are a lot of very knowledgeable people on this forum who will be able to give you some advice.

You may not get a lot of responses until tomorrow morning, though.

Hi. Thanks. So I'm 35 and started getting symptoms when I was 15. I was eventually diagnosed with Lyme at 26.

I've been treated with Bicillin, IV Rocephin, oral Flagyl, oral zithromax, mepron, malarone, amoxicillin.....am I forgetting anything? oh yeah plaquenil i think that's it.

I just realized I didn't answer your question: No I've never treated bartonella and I've never been completely symptom-free.
