How concerned to be about mold?

I see black mold growing on my window frames.. I clean it off with alcohol every month or so. I'm wondering how seriously I should be taking this. I am aware that I live in an old building, in a valley section of an area notorious for mold.. There may well be much more mold than what I see growing on the surface.

I'm confidant my illness is lyme, babesia, bart, because of the die-off reactions I get with my Byron White formulas.. But I don't want to be living in a an environment that isn't supporting my healing.

Is there a way to test how much mold is in your home?

Is there a way to test if you are sick with mold?

How serious is this?.. Should I move?

I'm sorry you deal with this on top of everything else. Dr. Klinghardt says it is very serious and I would say it is more serious if you have a more serious case of lyme. He has an interview with Dr. Mercola on youtube and you can search it if you want. Also, Dr. Mercola has info about mold on his site.

Pretty much, from what I have learned from Dr. Klinghardt is that exposure to mold AND EMF prevents one from healing. So if you happen to leave close to a tower, the mold is even more toxic--he cultivated mold in a lab with a friend and then measure toxicity and compared the mold that was not exposed to EMF to the mold cultivated in the lab, that was exposed... Yes, there are ways you can measure the mold in your home and in your body but it would be better if you hear it from the video. If you search Mercola Klinghardt on you tube, you should find the video easily enough.

Unfortunately mold is a big deal for a lot of us. My family has all sorts of issues with mold. We are using the Real Time Labs mycotoxin tests (urine testing) and have also used the Real Time Labs environmental testing kit. It's very easy to use and will tell you if you have mycotoxins (mold byproduct that makes is sick) in your house. I believe it's around $3-400 but you can do it yourself don't have to hire anyone to test for you.

Well I didn't imagine you were all going to say, "Yeah you're probably fine living in an apartment with black mold." So I guess on some level I must be ready to consider moving if I was finally willing to post for feedback!

I do love my little apartment and the location is perfect for the work I do. And of course the exertion of moving is a hurdle. But my bigger concern is that the Bay Area is just overall known for having tons of mold.. What if I moved to another place with mold here? I'm wondering if I can even stay in the area.

I agree this could be a part of why I'm not getting better.

Wow Simela thanks for posting this. I am dealing with what I think is mold exposure. It will be two years this summer that I am on antibiotics. And yes I am relapsing when off of them. Im going to look for the video.
