I quit mepron and biaxin about a month ago. I was also directed to quit ALL supplements/herbs......except for probiotics.

I've been getting IV glutiothione and Meyers cocktail, along with 40 minute sauna for the past 2 weeks. The IV's didn't seem to do anything.....good or bad. The sauna did feel relaxing.

I get next week off as I'm home with my kids who are on break.

The following week, I report 3 days for the same protocol, but with the addition of rocephin. I hope it goes well. I'm very nervous.

I should add that my horrid night sweats have almost disappeared since stopping the mepron and biaxin. I thought maybe it must have been a side effect from the drugs, but my LLMD thinks it was a herx and therefore proof I have babs even though my babs test was negative.

Not sure what I think about that. I hate to quickly blame things on a herx, when drug side effects could be to blame.

What did you quit the mepron and biaxin for? Not tolerating well?

I was tolerating the mepron and biaxin just fine. Other than yucky hot flashes at night. I was only on it for one month. But....because my improvement wasn't significant, my LLMD decided she wanted me to do IV meds.

So, she wants me off all meds to focus on detox and gut building for a month before starting IV rocephin. Then, she will add back the babesia meds.

I really like that she's giving you time to rebuild before trying the next thing, Utahgal!! I hope that you have good success with this next run!
