I haven't been diagnosed yet but I really feel I have lymes, I was curious what route most people choose to take as far as treatment and it's general efficacy. Obviously everyone is different but I'd love to hear of peoples first hand experiences

Hey Jereed,

I'm treating naturally, I've never taken abx to treat these infections.
I was dx with ms 14 years ago, I found out I have lyme about 3 years ago. So, I started out this journey very infected with a pulthoria of symptoms.

How effective is the natural protocol I'm doing? So far so good! Some of my symptoms are totally gone and the remaining ones are almost resolved.

Candleinthewind, glad to hear it's working for you!! Is it just herbal remedies/diet changes? Did it take long for you to start feeling better?

I too have healed using an all herbal protocol. I had Lyme and company for over 40 yrs and healed well. You can read my basic story by following the link below in my signature line.

As you noted, everyone is different and there are those that choose to use abx, some choose to use abx and herbs and some choose to use a natural protocol only.

Jereed, it took me months to start feeling a lot better, but you need to know that I had been sick much longer than a lot of people when they find out they have lyme. It was gradual and cycled... But the good times got better and lasted longer each time it came around...I have to look at my healing in months, not weeks or days... Lately though, it's going faster, which is exciting! Hi Jereed and welcome to the forum!

I also healed using alternative medicine and that was 9 years ago... I did first try Doxy but that ended up in the toilet bowl, yeah, it made me so sick to my stomach, ewwwww!! And I did take it with food...

I didn't know what to do, I tried all sorts of things but they didn't help me. Then I had joined a lyme forum (not this one) and a member talked about Dr. Jernigan so I bought his book. I liked what I read and followed his protocol from his book.

It wasn't only the botanicals that helped me, it was changing my diet, learning about detoxing and incorporating detoxing on a daily basis, as well as addressing my stress levels. Mind, body and spirit... all connected.
