Purchasing test online - Where? Igenex test 5095 NEW COMPLETE CO-INFECTION PANEL

I'm looking to purchase the Igenex test "5095 NEW COMPLETE CO-INFECTION PANEL" online. Where's the cheapest place I can get it? Thanks in advance! :)

I think you just order a test kit from Igenex and then check off the test(s) you want.

I thought you had to have the physician info filled out for them to process the test. In other words a physician must have you get the test?

No, you need to contact Igenex through their site.
1. order the kit (FOR FREE) from igenex website
2. Once you get the kit, have a doc order the test, draw the blood and put it in the kit, fill out the form with your credit card info, and send it to igenex

The kits don't cost anything--they are free. THe tests is what you pay for. You go to their site and ORDER (not purchase :)) the kits (containers). THen you need a doc to write a lab order for you with your credit card info and have a lab or your doc fill the kit (containers) properly with the blood and send it to igenex.

I hope this makes sense :)

As for the other question you asked in the other post: My LLMD is in PA--I don't think that will help you much, I am sure you will find quite a few much closer.

I purchased the Igenex complete lyme panel from a website. They charged me $579 total. And, for $25 more, after I got the results, I was given a phone consult with their "Dr". (The one who told my wife she didn't have lymes.... but who probably told me wrong.) Did I get ripped off by ORDERING the test thru the site? (I know I probably shouldn't have paid the $25 for the consult.) Basically I paid the $579 so I wouldn't have to pay for a "new patient visit" to a doc. I wanted the test results quickly. I didn't want to have to wait for a new patient appt, etc.... Is that the right way to think about it? If so, any cheaper, legit websites that offer the Igenex tests?

I am not sure what you did. I understand your reasons, but when I got the kit 6 years ago for myself, I didn't pay anything. My son also didn't pay anything until his sample of blood was taken. What website did you purchase this from? It sounds strange!

I was thinking of purchasing the complete co-infections test next.

After that we should be having our first visit (hopefully) with our LLMD and then I'll do whatever he suggests after that. I am thinking that if I walk into his office with the complete lyme panel and the complete co-infections test results then that will give him a big jump start. (If I'm wrong or confused, etc please let me know.) :)

I am concerned that you are ordering the lab from anyone but Igenex. Not sure if that is legit....why are you doing that?

I am worried that you got ripped off. Avoiding a new patient fee is. Bad idea because you will need to see a llmd anyway...

Also I'm pretty sure 579 is an up charge. I got the Lyme panel done for about $410... I don't understand why you don't just wait until your LLMD visit.

I think I understand why you did what you did, rather than getting the test direct through Igenex, as it's a way to get the Igenex testing if you don't have a doctor to sign the forms. It does tend to cost more this way, though.

My personal view - I'd wait to see what tests the LLMD wants before spending any more money.
