I'm kind of nervous about taking more honestly. It just doesn't seem right to keep taking something that gave you hives.. The doctor I talked to.this morning said absolutely don't take anymore. And my llnd said it might be OK and there's only one way to find out.

I feel like an experiment. This really drives me crazy lol

IHL- You might want to see a neurologist. Your insurance will cover that. In addition to the pain and other symptoms you have been dealing with you also don't want to have pressure on your optic nerve for an extended period of time. Has your vision been ok? Any double vision or blurred vision?
You can tell them about the Lyme or not. If they don't believe in Chronic Lyme, my response is "that's nice". The Dr has taken an oath and has to treat you. See someone who is a specialist. Your brain, vision, hearing etc are all too important to take any chances with.

I'm broken out in hives again. I'm done with this medicine. I feel like crap. Over it.

Awful. Bloated horrible cramps bad vision off balance can't stand up without being short of breath way lower blood pressure

Maybe it's not the med but it seems to happen after I take it and when I get hives

I think I'm on the mend. I still have the same symptoms but less in severity. Much less. I almost did my dishes but the couch with tea was too inviting. I'll take one more day on bed rest and try to be up more tomorrow.

My nose is burning a little bit. Just kind of odd but no big deal.

When you Google brain swelling it comes up as encephalitis. I also read on a herx thing put together by the support group here in southern Oregon and diaxom was on there for severe die off headache. I really need to work on detoxing as hard as it is. Makes me just as sick, probably sicker to detox than to take abx and herbals.

That's good to hear!! The barometer went up a lot yesterday, so that may be helping too, after that cold front that went through. So it is going to warm up a lot and maybe you can get outside again and enjoy the warmth.

I forget whether or not you've had your adrenals checked. You've had a lot of stress lately, so they could be impacted too.

IHL hydrocortisone is a steroid and steroids inhibit your body's immune system from kicking in and fighting the Lyme. Any type of steroid is a huge no no when fighting Lyme.

I wonder if this is why you've had such a difficult battle.

I personally would not take Meds that I am allergic too--obviously your body is having a problem with it.

I would ask the doc to change the Meds--there are other options and that is their job.

I take a total of 15 mg of hydrocortisone a day. Morning and afternoon.

Even though I feel better today I'm still very sick. The only way I can describe what my head feels like is pressure. And there is something funny with my jaw. Do any of you know about TMJ? What is that exactly? My jaw just feels so weird that I can't close my mouth all the way at times. I have incredible pain in my face that runs through my ears and neck.

I have this weird feeling that washes over me. It's like anxiety mixed with..... something else. I just don't feel comfortable in my own skin. My home doesn't feel like home. It's extremely unsettling. I don't know what the hell I'm doing! I'm confused about everything, everything feels a little off.

My guy left and my brother was supposed to stay to help me with my son. But he has other priorities and ended up leaving as well. So I'm on my own right now. I keep losing track of everything. I took my son outside to play on his slide and he kept talking to me and I couldn't answer him. I just couldn't grasp what he was talking about so I kept saying "OK, ya".. He got frustrated and asked to go inside and watch a movie. So he's happy, laughing his little butt off and eating snacks. It just doesn't feel safe for me to watch him. If something happened I don't know if I would react appropriately. To admit that and mean it whole heartedly as a mother is just.... almost beyond comprehension. It's hard enough to deal with a 3 year old throwing a tantrum when you're healthy. This is a whole nother level of insanity.

I went to make tea. I warmed up the water, I got my tea bags in the cup. When the water was hot I took another cup out of the cupboard and filled that with water. And I'm looking at the two cups and could not figure out to fix it. I walked away and came back 20 minutes later to realize that it was quite an easy fix after all.

I really hate this. I don't like feeling this scared. I feel like I need a babysitter. I might need to call my guy and ask him to come home early. I'm so embarrassed.... I feel so guilty. He has to be the Mom, the Dad, the housekeeper, the bill payer, the EVERYTHING. I'm completely useless in this state. He reminded me last night while wiping the tears as they ran down my face that it's only been a week. And I replied "but April is in two weeks and I know how busy you're going to be and I don't know how I'm going to keep it together". And then he told me that it was April. I feel so pathetic. This is pathetic.

I didn't think I could write this much. But I'm glad I got it out. My brain still is working a little bit. Just not when I need it to. This is such a strange experience.... I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. I'm suffering. To put it as honestly as possible, this is true suffering. I thought I knew what it meant to suffer before. I didn't realize how much worse it could get.

At least the sun is out. The hummingbirds are flying around, my son is dancing around to the music of his movie, my dog is napping on the porch. Everything must be OK. This too shall pass
