Just wanted to encourage you a bit, Lighterbeing!! You can do this!! I think adjusting so that you can continue to work is a good idea of course!!

Well, according to the Misty Meadow's site, the St. John's wort is Anti-trauma, Antiviral, Nerve damage – repairs myelin sheath, anti-
inflammatory, anti-anxiolitic (anti-anxiety), antimalarial,
antidepressant.

I believe it plays a large role in the healing, but you could always try it without it - or better yet, contact them and ask!

Owkay...
Herxing kicked in on day 4.
Flue-ish, hot-cold, muscle and joint pain, head's about to explode, extremelly tired, just want to sleep, no appetite.
I can't believe my herxing, after 33 months of treatment. I would like to believe I already killed a lot of those critters, but obviously there are a lot left.
Preparing my coffee enema...

Oh Marie!! I'm so very sorry!! You have been through so very much already that I too had hoped that your herxing wouldn't be too bad. Here's hoping that this time will be the last time though!

It started on day 4! Not after just a few hours, that's ok. I'll ramp up my detoxing.

I was feeling flu like also. I took some Tylenol ES and drank lots of water. Really bad headaches a couple of days and I was working, this was in the middle of the night. Stopped taking for 2 days and started back last night. I woke up sweaty today, OK with me, I just don't want to feel that way at work. So I will take the full doses when off and go down to a teaspoon 2x's a day when working. I have a headache but not as bad. I am prepared to go through feeling bad for a while before I feel better. Fortunately I usually work 3 nights on then 4 off so I think I can manage it.

How is anyone else doing on the CT? It packs a bigger punch than I anticipated! Marie, Maybe I will try a coffee enema. I did some years ago with a cleanse. Not fun to me. How much coffee do you use? And is the idea to retain it as long as possible?

I use 2 tablespoons of light roasted organic coffee in 2,5 cups of water, and letit boil for 10mins. They say to retain it for 15mins, which worked for me before, but for some reason does not anymore. I start on my left side, then turn on to my back and then right side.
Working while on treatment asks a lot of programming... It's not easy at all.
Oh, I forgot, don't forget to rehydrate and replace your electrolytes after doing enemas, you'll feel much better.

Elmesanoya, I am taking just 1T a day for now but I do believe that I am noticing an improvement of my symptoms. My pain level is cut by about 50% and I am creeping up in my energy level.I would only expect slow improvement from herbals, so am pleased to notice a change so quickly. I will go up to 2T a day on my next days off. No feverish sweats for now.
Back to work tomorrow night so that is when I can tell the most, I tend to rest much when I am off so I can continue to work. I would like to need less rest, accomplish more when I am off.
How about you?
Marie, glad I'm taking the tincture and not the tea, mine is bitter also and I might not want a whole cup of bitter!

Eleuthero gives me a lot of energy. It doesn't wake me up though BUT I do not take it in the evening unless I want to have a late night on purpose. Have you taken it before? When is the last time you take it for the day?

Buhner says not to take it after 4 pm.

Seems like no one else is having that problem from the CT. Dang, do you have to be so special? Lol

I don't know much about adrenals problems--I thought it usually makes one tired more often than makimg them have more energy?

With adrenals, it's very common to go from being hyper to needing a lot more rest for a while when they are "going". I went from needing to sleep a minimum of 10 hours to only being able to sleep/rest for 4 hours a day total.

Fortunately, once the person begins to support their adrenals it can balance back out fairly quickly.

And that 3 o'clock hour is rough!!! I would be up at 2 or 3 in the morning a lot when I was in the depths of struggling with adrenal issues. Sometimes I could rest - but not sleep - for 20 minutes during the day when it got bad.

My doc has me taking Standard Process brand "Adrenal" (www.standardprocess.com/Products/Standard-Process/Adrenal-Desiccated#.VT_MPvAcSic) , but I take high doses of it - 5 pills in the am and 4 no later than 2 pm and I'm sleeping much better. I even slept 10 hours 2 nights in a row after that little 700 mile drive in two days that hubby and I just did!!! turn Surprised even me that I slept so well!! LOL!

Well, this is getting to be a pretty long thread so it will probably be closed soon. Why does every trend about CT has to end with discussions of Mike's pink tutu? I don't get it!  What's the connection, again? 

And you're right, MM, that image will be hard to get rid of! LOL! I expect one of these days to see you on TV wearing a pink tutu, giving an interview on how you bit lyme using the CT. Don't forget the ballet shoes :)
