Just wondering if anybody has taken this - if so, what dosage? My doctor suggested trying these but didn't tell me the dosage and it's not on the bottle. I am no longer using that doctor so I can't call and I have tried looking online to no avail.
Thanks guys!

Hi Dannarahn,
I'm supposed to consider Tox-Ease. I have not tried it yet. My instructions say to start slow with a couple drops and work my way up to 15 drops twice a day. When stable, I'm supposed to go to the capsules. However, it does not list the capsule dosage.
If you are just starting, start slow. I'm not sure if you have the tincture or capsules. If you are new to Tox-Ease and are starting with capsules, I would probably start with a 1/2 capsule if you can
open it/break it up. They told me at my last appointment that this is a fairly well-liked and tolerated detox method. I asked about
the NT Detox by Byron White because it was also discussed. NT can cause more herxing because it is stronger. Just start slowly to be on the safe side. :)

Thanks Lymie Girl. I have capsules. A "serving" is 4 capsules, and I am wondering how many times a day you take them. I will definitely start with 1 capsule.i am curious about
the tinctures. Are they by prescript
ion?

The capsules are stronger than the tincture. I would take them twice a day.
They are sold through doctor's offices. However, I'm pretty sure you can get them on the net. You might (check on this) need to get permission from your doc or get a consult from the website. I'm not certain. I need to look into it. I have to buy a bunch of things. :)

Here's the tincture called Tox-Ease GL. At first glance, the price seems high (not sure if it has more liquid?):

Thanks Lymie Girl, that price does seem a bit high. They charge more for the capsules too than what i paid on a different site.
Maybe I will give the tincture a whirl. Thanks for the info

I was on the Tox-Ease GL for quite a while. I started with just a drop or two and worked my way up to about
20 drops a day over time. I found it wasn't too difficult to increase. I don't know about
the capsules.

No prob Dannarahn. :)
Summersun,
What did you think of the Tox-Ease? Did you think it was worth it? I'm trying to decide on it versus the NT Detox.

Honestly, it's kind of hard to tell when taking so many different things. Sorry, I know that's not much help.

Thanks for the response Summersun. There is not much feedback on the product and it is a little on the pricy side. I appreciate it. :)

Hello Lymie Girl (I love these names, lol)
I found this thread while trying to find out more info on Beyond Balance products. I've been on Samento and Banderol for over 7 months now. Not up to the proper dosage because I wasn't tolerating more than 15 drops/day of each. Previously I had been on Amoxicillin for about
11 weeks when treatment first began.
I was doing well on them until March of this year when I began having chest pains and dizzy spells as well as heart skipping beats and flutters. Also experienced some shooting pain in my upper back after coughing, sore for 2-3 days after that. Had complete cardio and pulmonary work ups and only thing found was a heart arrhythmia, so I am attributing this to Lyme which was my first suspicion.
I was thinking that my llmd would recommend that I get back on abx but this time for a longer time period, but instead she recommended both BB-1 drops (starting w/ 1 drop twice a day and gradually increasing to 20 drops twice/day) and also the ToxEase GL drops (3 drops/daily as needed). They certainly are pricey! If my calculations are correct, Beyond Balance estimates there are approx 500 drops per 1 oz. If this is the case, I would eventually need to purchase one every 12 days? At about
$60 each?
I'm sorry to be long-winded. I guess I just want to hear about
people's experience with these products to see whether they are worth the investment. I know every one is different and we are all affected by the bacterias in different ways, so what might work well for one person may not for another.
But for how long should one remain on BB-1 for example?
I appreciate any response - thanks so much.

Hey KeyLyme, I just replied to you in the other thread but I will reply here as well.
Those increased pains you are describing from March sound like a herx reaction, which could actually be a good thing. Did your LLMD explain to you why they switched the treatment?
Beyond Balance is a reputable herbal source, I have the BB 1 at home. However, I get increased muscle pains with 5 drops, so I haven't really been able to take the full dose.

Hi Sarah,
Thank you for responding! Interesting that the chest pain and fluttering could be herxing, I hadn't thought of that. I forget that you can herx even after being on a certain med or herbal for a long period. My LLMD has been nice enough to communicate with me through brief e-mails since I am a 4 hour drive from her, so I haven't seen her in person for over 6 months. So far I've ordered the BB-1 drops but haven't started taking them. I will have 2 weeks of vacation (staying home) beginning next week, so I thought it would be best to wait until the end of this week to begin BB1 in case of herxing.
When I wrote my doc I was also wondering if I should try increasing the amount of Samento and Banderol since I never did get up to the recommended dosage. She didn't explain why the change to BB1, I think she was just addressing the fact that I was asking for advice on going back on abx or not and maybe she thought that the Samento and Banderol weren't working for me? Hmm.
On another note, I purchased a bottle of Serrapeptase (40,000 iu) on my own several months back but had never tried it. After reading up on it again recently, I started taking it on Friday. Probably not a wise move without consulting my doc, but I did. Today is Monday and I am definitely herxing. Neck and back pain and feeling off balance. I'm going to have to stop since I need to get through this week of work before vacation starts.
Your input is very helpful - so you had some muscle pains with BB-1? Do you think you were herxing or did they not go away?
I'm updating my notification so that I'll see responses quickly, btw!
Thanks again!

Muscle pains were herxing. I recommend that you start a new thread with this info rather than continuing to post in this old thread.
