I started this new thread in case you did not see that I responded to your question about Oral System Balancing. Here it is:
I would love to talk about Oral System Balancing! I actually saw your post around noon today, but it took me all day to collect my thoughts about doing a post. I am excited because based on the info that you gave me about your daughter, this may be something that could be very helpful for her!
I first want to review the details about Heather's past illness situation, and then explain how OSB helped her. Heather received her tick bite when she was 8 y.o. There was a visible blood-engorged embedded tick , but we were ignorant about LD, and so was her pediatrician. She gradually developed symptoms which progressively became worse with time. When she was 12 y.o. her pediatric dentist took x-rays that revealed alarming details since the last routine checkup 6 months previously. Her jaw had assumed an abnormal shape and only 2 molars on one side of her mouth touched! No other teeth made any contact at all. He was very alarmed and said that he didn't understand how this could have happened in such a short span of time. He said that the jaw/teeth abnormality was way beyond the scope of orthodontics, and he referred us to 2 maxillofacial surgeons. Both surgeons agreed that the only treatment was to break her jaw and reshape her jawbone with titanium plates and screws. We were horrified and took no action.
We found out that she had LD and coinfections several months later. She was very sick. We found a reputable LLMD and started conventional ABX therapy. I gradually added in elements of Buhner and Cowden as well, and started detoxing. We eventually left that LLMD and found another one. Heather got better to the point of few symptoms. She relapsed a few months later. We then decided to totally change the treatment approach and took her to the Hansa Center. On the first day Dr. J. examined her mouth and he identified the abnormality of her jaw right away. He told us that he can do a lot to help Heather to get well, but her immune system cannot be optimized until she addresses the jaw malformation. Only a biological Dentist can perform this treatment. He explained that her Parasympathetic Nervous System was in a state of fight-or-flight due to the abnormal position that her tongue was assuming, and the fact that her teeth were not touching. Heather left the clinic with very few symptoms after 2 weeks of treatment, and was noticeably better.
Heather continued at-home treatment with some remedies that Dr. J. prescribed for the next 6-8 months. Heather still experienced a tendency to hyperventilate, and she also sometimes choked on her food. It also took her a long time to eat a meal. We dragged our feet for 6 months to financially regroup before we started the OSB. Fortunately we found a fantastic Biological Dentist only about 5 miles from our home! We briefly explained Heather's situation to him and he did a total workup on Heather's mouth. He took low-rad, panoramic, digital, high-definition x-rays, and took molds of her teeth.
We returned 2 weeks later and had an extensive consultation. He showed us the alarmingly malformed jawbone which was distorted on all 3 axis's, as well as the mold of her teeth. He refuted the claims of her conventionally trained pediatric dentist and the 2 surgeons. He said that he could restore her jawbone and teeth to a normal shape and bite again, but that it would take 2-3 years. It would also be non-invasive and non-harmful. He was very knowledgeable about how the Oral Cavity impacts health, the Parasympathetic Nervous System (PNS), and the Immune System. He was in exact agreement with Dr. J. about everything! He also told us that what he was attempting to do was considered quackery by the mainstream dental establishment!
Dr. S. (the biological dentist) first sent the mold to a laboratory to have an OSB dental appliance made for Heather. We returned a few weeks later, and Dr. S. made some adjustments and fine tuning to change the shape of her jaw from what it was to what is ideal. The adjustments would be in small increments every 2-4 weeks for 2 years. Dr. S. always monitored her with a electronic oscilloscope type of equipment to monitor the impact that these adjustments were having on her PNS as he was making the adjustments. He explained that conventionally trained dentists are not trained about this technique at all. They just crank up the braces and other orthodontic devices, and are totally oblivious to the detrimental impact that it may be making on the nervous and immune systems!
Dr. S, also referred Heather to a naturepathically trained physician that was also trained in CranioSacral Therapy. This therapy would be performed within a few hours after every OSB adjustment was made. and would gradually adjust the supporting structures of the head and jaw to normalcy. When the OSB phase was over, braces would be applied for fine tuning. The net effect of all of this would be proper structural morphology, restoration of normal neurological function, elimination of immune system antagonism, and pleasing cosmetic appearance.
The evening after the application of the appliance, Heather ran into the bathroom and spit into the sink. She said that there was a big "pop" and that a large mass of infected mucous drained from her sinuses, and drained for the next 2 days. The squishy wet sensation and sound that she had in her Eustachian Tubes for years also disappeared. Her hyperventilation and choking difficulties gradually diminished and were completely gone within 2 months! Her overall recovery from her illness also reached the next level of health. She had 2 years of OSB and about a year of braces. She became healthy and is healthy today. She also has a beautiful smile whereas previously her teeth were blatantly deformed in appearance.
There have been several other members of this forum that have had OSB therapy, and have felt that it was crucial for their recovery.
Dr. S. had been independently developing his own version of OSB Therapy when we first met him. We told him about the guru or originator of OSB Therapy who is located in Tacoma, Washington. Dr. S. went on to attend a training school that Farrand Robson D.D.S. hosts to train other dentists in the technique. Dr. S. added that information to his own personal knowledge base, and is now certified to utilize this patented therapy. Dr.. S. does not have any posted information about OSB, but Dr. R. does. Attached is a link to his website and also a link to an interview. I urge you to peruse every area of his website and to listen to his interview. There is a lot of illuminating info there! He has changed the name to Oral System Biology.

RM- I would also encourage you to google Oral System Balancing for other articles and patient testimonies about it, as well as Youtube. I have a hunch that this is just what your daughter needs if she has a small jaw.
