Pirouette, I'm still in the stage of getting the testing done. I know I sound like I have already done that and tested positive, but I haven't had the test run yet. Having done the research and looked into the symptoms lists (Especially, Dr Burrascano's), I feel that I would be diagnosed clinically with Lyme. Some of the symptoms I have had never fit into the Fibromyalgia diagnosis, but make complete sense if you look at it from the view of a Lyme diagnosis.
My Rheumatologist grudgingly signed the order for the Igenex testing. I am still hunting for someone to treat me. So far I have been less than impressed with the names given to me by IDSA or ILADS. One is a crook as far as I can tell and even if he wasn't from stories I have heard we would not get along. He does like to questioned and I question everything. The others have either little or no information, so I have to spend some time talking with the staff to see how things work in their offices and then decide who might be the best fit.
Fronton, It wasn't liver enzymes. My doc found that my liver was enlarged on a physical exam. It's something that I noted in the back of my head. There are lots of things that seem to be "wrong" in my body, but are not bad enough to come up in conversations with my docs. I wondered about my liver because it seemed an odd finding.
Liver enlargment can be sign of infection, such with fatty liver, alcoholism, hepatitis, (malaria or babesia if you been bitten by a tick or a anopholese mosquito, it can also be a deficiency or chemical related toxicity).
I have looked at some LLMD in my area, some of them are very shady, the yelp forums help alot. b12 deficiency can cause enlarged red blood cell, a type of anemia.
What liver testing are you getting done in the meantime?
to see any kind of inclusions in rbc, you need a special stain for it, they usually have microscope that are good in combination with the staining methods.
