Hi Alyrose,
Been thinking about
you a lot since your original post. Glad you're getting help so quickly! Please know that it takes awhile for a lot of us to see improvements. I'm really glad that you are already able to see lessening of some of your symptoms. I also had my dizziness start to fade within a week of treatment--that was amazing!
Just wanted to share that I also had chest pains as a kid--a very weird sensation of an "air bubble" under my rib--if i moved at all it would hurt like h***. These episodes were dispersed throughout the kid and teen years. In my 20s is when the heart palpitations began--enough to lead me to request an EKG. All came back normal a couple of different times. I was also a young mom in my 20s with a stressful job and worried this might lead to stroke or heart attack. Never did.
I got a bad eye infection in my late 20s, combined with very painful soles of feet and itchy hands, so I've wondered now if that was bart or lyme contributing to all my health issues? Anyway, all of these faded away for at least 5 years, until a couple of years ago, when MS symptoms turned up. Then last summer lyme knocked me down so hard with all my symptoms at once PLUS new ones. The heart palps were the scariest--shaking my whole couch or bed, waking me up at night with a jolt, making me feel like I was in the middle of a heart attack. I finally got a diagnosis, thank goodness! And then began the treatment puzzle...
The heart palps stopped pretty soon after starting doxy--maybe a few weeks or a month in--but have returned recently since I switched to a milder abx. I feel confident they will go away when I get back on something stronger. I just want you to know that I've been having them on and off for over a decade, and no stroke or heart attack to speak of! That's not to say my heart is oh so healthy, but I want to give you some peace of mind that you're not about
to check out on your little boy. And you're doing a great job covering all your bases with seeing a cardiologist as well as your upcoming dr's appts. They'll help you put a stop to the heart issues. You'll be ok soon enough!
