Having an extremely tough time today... Struggling beyond belief

I'm having a rough 24 hours. Yesterday seemed to be ok until the afternoon where I got super dizzy for the rest of the day. I also had some weird aching and pain along my collar bone by my shoulders. I was running errands all Saturday and of course stayed up late to watch my Blackhawks win in overtime but I think I'm either paying for it today or there's something seriously wrong..

I woke up this morning with a sharp pulsing headache in my right temple and right eye, it last a minute or 2 and stopped but it was enough to wake me up.

Then I've been dizzy and off balance all day. Which is annoying but in used to it by now. On top of that my stomach has been bubbling and bothering me all day as well as my heart. My Bp and pulse is up and down like crazy and really bothering me. I've been monitoring my Bp & hr with my wrist cuff and it alerted a few irregular heartbeats on there. I've told my cardiologist all of this that is why I'm getting a new 30 day event monitor on Friday.

Then about an hour ago (about 20) minutes after getting out of the shower I got a serious pressure sensation in my head especially on my right side. It has subsided but I'm still nervous because the right side of my body is weak. I don't know if I'm herxing or if I'm having a stroke or something.

I really don't want to go to the ER again and be humiliated. I feel like the little boy (girl in my case) who cried wolf. How do I know if something serious is happening or if this is just lyme and co wreaking havoc on my body.

I'm so sorry that you aren't getting answers from the Docs so far. I was trying to remember the fast facts for stroke... brain fog makes memory crap lately. But i Googled and grabbed the link specific to women and stroke:

This may help you decide what you think it might be.
Another thing... is it possible to go to a different ER (and not mention Lyme so that they won't treat you crappy?)
Like pretend you were visiting friends/traveling...then symptoms started happening. I know its kinda out there... but then again.

The way some ER's treat Lyme patient's is incomprehensible.

Please please try a ten minute meditation video (from Youtube) if you can... until you decide what to do.... it may help you to get more clear... It sure couldn't hurt.

And... not to scare you... but so that you are better informed... I had a stroke when i was 34 yrs old... So... don't let anyone tell you it only happens to the elderly.

I had an mri and mra of my brain/head/neck about a month ago and nothing was found. (EXCEPT A SMALLER THAN NORMAL ARTERY IN THE BASE OF MY NECK BUT APPARETLY I WAS BORN WITH IT). So that's why I think it's lyme and co. Idk tho. That's why I was concerned about hypercoagulation..

I'm shaky today and I'm wondering if I should take an anxiety med...

If your anxiety is through the roof...yes, take an anti-anxiety med.


Do you have a LLMD, yet? Sorry, I don't remember - there have been so many new members join the past few months.

Yes I do. I was seeing one in Indiana but wasn't comfortable with him so I'm now seeing an LLMD in Wisconsin (I'm in the Chicagoland area).

Just concerned since different symptoms are showing themselves and some old symptoms are coming back. Im concerned, like I was at day one all over again.

Does your LLMD accept phone calls?

If so, it might be worth calling him/her - you might need to back off on your meds for a few days - to help distinguish if it's a herx or something else.

Girlie- I was taking my full dose of medication until I ended up in the ER last week with severe chest pains, palpitations and sob. I spoke with my LLMD and he told me to reduce it by a dose, which I did. That took care of the chest pains but a day or two after I reduced my dose, all of my previous symptoms came back worse than before AND SOME. So, I don't know where to go from here. His office is closed today and we were playing phone tag on Friday, so.. Ya..

Alyrose, I feel that way when I stay up past my bed time. Also, because our (lymies) adrenals and thyroid conditions are impaired, we often feel worse whenever we experience something shocking such as the emotions that we go through a hockey game. I am serious when I say that for me at least something like watching a game that gets my heart pumping and my adrenals going from the emotion can be a toll to my health. The Blackhawks game was so exciting that I am sure it affected you as well, specially because it went into overtime and probably past your bed time. Also, because you were running errands on Saturday that also used up a lot of your stored energy. Please look up the story about the spoon here in the Lyme forum so you have an idea of what I am talking about.

Anyways, I hope the sleep that you had last night was enough for you to feel better so that today you are feeling normal.
