Saw my LLND for the first time today, super happy!

So update time. My mom and I took a ride to Wisconsin today to see my new LLND for the first time.. Even at 25 I don't mind being driven around by my mom, she's the bomb & we had a beautiful 2 hour drive to bond.. First impression: office was amazing - cozy & clean, staff was super friendly and the doctor was PHENOMENALLLLL.

I explained my whole experience, all my symptoms and the doctor actually listened, smiled and made me feel at ease. She said she knows my LLMD and is wiling to work in conjunction with him. Since my LLMD is strictly abx, she is adding a naturopathic approach as well. I'm so impressed she was so calm and answered all of the questions my mom and I were firing off at her. One thing I noticed today is my blood pressure is consistently low.. It was the lowest I've seen I yet, at the doctors office it was 96/64. Has anyone else had this "issue"? Does lyme or co cause this?

In addition to my abx she started me on herbs to support my adrenals (which she said were crashing and needed support). She also gave me GABA trex for anxiety as needed and banderol to start off with. What I like is she didn't push products or want to make a killing off of me with her products. AND SHE ACCEPTS MY INSURANCE, hallelujah!!!

All in all, my mom was impressed.. I was impressed and I'm finally to the point where I'm comfortable with my treatment. Time to evict this lymeeee & co, they're not welcomed anymore!

Btw I'm seeing Dr. M in Waukesha, WI. She's my LLND & Dr. H in Waupaca, WI is my LLMD.

It is so important to be at a place where you're comfortable with your treatment. It gives us a peace of mind when we feel like we're covering all the bases and doing all we can to get rid of these suckers. I've just recently gotten to the point where I feel that I will heal with enough time on this current protocol. It's a great feeling. Glad you're starting to feel that way too.

my blood pressure over the past 2 years since i started having issues either is right around 120/80 or low iv had in the 90s/50s and all over the place and in between cuz of this crap

My BP was always low like yours, then when I started treatment it went to the prehypertension range but now it is back down.

Glad your happy with the ND and hope you see good results soon.

Hi, I have been thinking of you and waiting for your update. It sounds like she is really wonderful! Does she treat lyme if you do not have an LLMD? In other words, will her treatments cure you with out another doc on board?

Also, did you have to pay any out of pocket? I read that she takes your insurance, but will there still be a charge you have to pay??

Thanks everyone! I'm excited to really start my journey to healing.

Dancingbear* - She can heal me without an llmd. She asked if I'll continue to see my llmd and I told her I don't know, I'll have to see how I feel at my 8 week appointment with her. She can prescribe abx and also does an herbal route too and she said that's how a lot of people heal. Normally her first initial consultation/appointment is $425 but I walked out without paying anything because my insurance is the ONLY insurance she takes. So they submitted to my insurance company and didn't have any issues. I feel blessed about that.

I pay for any suppliments and vitamins through her, but I can find stuff elsewhere cheaper.. Plus instead of 4 hours away she's only an hour and a half or 2 hours on a bad day.. so we'll see, I don't know which doctor I'll stick with. They both have very different approaches but both are brilliant, so I don't know! :(

Well that IS exciting. Glad they took your insurance. My insurance has in network and out of network. I imagine she would be out of network for me. Please keep us posted on which doctor you end up with. I like my doctor and he takes my insurance. He is a TCM. But I have been in treatment for 7 months with some improvements. I like to have a back up plan!

Thanks for my back up plan. It makes me feel better. Also, I live 10 minutes away from Dr. M.

Thanks everyone. I was excited for 24 hours but all of my excitement went out the window when I felt the effects of my trip today. I feel like caca poopoo!!!

Just curious does anyone have any experience with adrenal drops and banderol?? This is something completely out of my comfort zone.

I don't think I even know what I mean by that. Lol my LLND gave me banderol and also said something about adrenal support. On my treatment sheet it says "adrenals 2 - banderol 5, increase by 1 drop each week until you meet 20 drops" I called her office to clarify if I forgot to get something and I've been playing phone tag with them so, I'm not sure yet.
