Do any of you know if Lyme causes the blood to be thinner than normal? I was getting my blood taken today and she told me it came out very fast as if I was on blood thinners or painkillers and I'm not. Just curious.. Thank you!

It could have just been a strong vein. I think it's usually the opposite for Lyme, I think thicker blood is usually the problem. Hyper-coagulation I think it's called. What are you taking now? Anything for biofilms like serrapeptase, nattokinase, or bolouke? Cause that can act like a blood thinner.

If it makes changes to the bloods consistency, it's usually that it makes it thicker, but I have talked with a few people that say it has caused their blood to thin.

It could be caused by other meds that you may be taking as well - but definitely not something to worry about, although I would bring it up to your doc.

Something else to keep in mind - the person drawing your blood may not have known what they are talking about either. That happens all too often.

Right, Phlebotomists have no business making a medical judgment, out of their scope of practice. They probably just hit a good vein.
