It allows for your body and the disease to build a tolerance to the drug making it useless. We are given these doses for a reason.
According to eva sapi, the bacteria itself cannot become antibiotic resistant, but the cysts it forms do become abx resistant. Since tindamax destroys these cysts, I don't think starting low is an issue.
