Waiting for LLMD, Wes Blot says Lyme or no?

Hi all, I grew up in a small town in Eastern Iowa where I was bit by deer ticks over 100 times (farm girl). Never told about Lyme, but was sick (cold/flu) 5-10 times a year my whole childhood.

Started experiencing nuerological symptoms at 18. Dizziness, vertigo, electric shocks in head, worsening vision, confusion, difficulty thinking/focusing, altered reality (feel like I'm in a dream every moment of my waking life for the past 2 1/2 years).

Finally got Western Blot (Igenex), and my doc said she cannot interpret it and that I need to see a LLMD (on a waiting list now). Does this mean Lyme?

Looking at your test results and the positive bands, coupled with your history of tick bites and symptoms, I think you have lyme disease.

That's the bad news.

The good news is it can be treated...once you find a Lyme Literate Dr. - one who is ILADS trained.
(International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society).
