***There is hope with these doctors...maybe***

So as some may know I had a prior appt for today with a PA at neuro's office that I thought of canceling but kept with the motivation of her possibly giving my proper antibiotic treatment.
She was amazing and excited that I have an answer to my symptoms.
We spoke for a really long time, she reviewed my MRI of my brain with me and showed me the vague white matter, offered to do a lumbar puncture, but suggested that I wait and see an infectious disease doctor and seek that treatment. She offered medication of numbness and pain but said it won't fix anything, I need Lymes treatment.
She told me of a 13 years old that they ran test after test and couldn't figure it out and she did have Lymes, the girl is now at college and hasn't had a flair until finals her 1st semester.
She mentioned that she was on antibiotics for 2 years by this infectious disease doctor, so I'm torn on what to do. But she is referring me to him and that may take 6 weeks.
I have a phone consult with the Dr that did all the bloodwork that is supposed be a LLMD but isn't on Thursday and hoping for some additional antibiotics then. I have started Buhner protocol and I have seen minor improvements....keep on trucking!
I didn't get additional antibiotics like I was seeking today but I found a woman in the main stream medical field that says that Lymes is a big deal, that primary care physicians lack knowledge in this disease, states that Lymes is becoming a huge problem, and has faith in this infectious disease Dr to treat properly.

Maybe God gave me exactly what I needed today, additional support.

Oh and the other great thing is that the PA was training another PA so hopefully she will recognize that her patients may have Lymes someday.

I don't disagree with you B! The problem with the infectious disease dr is that he is in a town of 100,000 and he sees all the HIV patients in that community so I guess he has a pretty steady base clientele so to speak. There are two infectious disease drs in a town equal distant but opposite direction and there is a major health university there, my sons endocrinologist is in the same town and I was impressed with her so maybe I can get in there sooner.
The so called LLMD told me the starndard treatment is IV Rocefian so we shall see if he holds up to his word.

I was only prescribed Doxy for 30 days and been on it a week, so not enough.

I am also doing Buhner plus added many supplements he suggested.

I have several possible options it's just between now and then...
It is crazy how people-medical professions are like oh yeah Lymes is real bad and yes we have to report to the state but for us to treat you see ya in 6 weeks or longer...how do you function for that long.

Don't apologize for being ranty, I like this lady I saw today and I am
usually optimistic so maybe I'm getting some of that back.

I am a firm believer that there is always more then one way to skin a cat!
