Had my appointment with Homeopathy Dr.

So I had my appointment with a Homeopathy Dr this afternoon who also has Lyme Disease. She thought highly of doing treatment in the states with antibiotics. She herself went that route for a year and a half and is now doing 90% better.

She did say that Homeopathy might work for me but she can't guarantee anything - obviously. We talked about LLND as well but she said she doesn't think that is effective enough but I think she said that because it did not work for her. (she tried the herbal way first) I know a lot of people go the herbal way with a LLND on here and have fantastic results!

She thinks I have a co infection on top of the Lyme based on my symptoms with the dizziness. She thinks I have Babesia.

She gave me a herbal supplement and two homeopathy medicines to start and said if I choose to see her again, to come back in 2-3 weeks and we will see how I'm doing and add in more things.

The herbal supplement is by NutraMedix called Samento Microbal Defense and I am to take one drop a day for a week and then on the second week take two drops a day. Then a Homeopathy thing for vertigo and another homeopathy medicine that I cant even type because I can't understand her writing but it is something like Ledeuu p. 30 k? (I don't want to take it because I don't even know what it is. I cant look it up because I don't understand her writing.) And the homeopathy pills dissolve under your tongue.

Anyone hear of the Herbal she gave me for Lyme? Samento Microbal Defense?

She told me the protocols she does with me may work for me but she cannot promise it. She said it does work for some people! She said you won't be feeling better in a month and it is a long process. And she said this does work for some people. It's a journey though to find what will work for me.

Samento (TOA cat's claw) works better when combined with Banderol, so at some point, eventually, I would consider adding the Banderol.

I think I told you this before, but homeopathy didn't help me.

As far as abx, you might consider doing herbs only.

Or . . . you could see an LLMD in your country (or thereabouts).

To recommend anyone, I would need to know which country you're in?

teragram - wouldn't treating with a homeopathy that is prescribing me these herbs be just as effective as treating with a LLND with herbs? I don't want to see a LLMD as I do not want to do long term antibiotics. If all else fails though, then I would consider it. But I've heard great things doing it the herbal way. Thank you for your feedback - I appreciate it. This is all so much to take in!

The other homeopathic medicine says vertigo comp (or something like that, again hard to read the writing) on it and she said it may or may not help with my off balance feeling.

She may just know some basics about homeopathy, prescribing it for a symptom or 2, instead of looking at the totality of symptoms.

She probably chose Ledum based on the fact that it is good for insect bites. If your infection was recent, then it might help if you fit some of the symptoms. A good homeopath will dedicate most of his/her practice to homeopathy since it takes a lot of studying to understand how to use it. If a remedy doesn't change anything, then it's probably not the remedy you would need. That happens to many who don't use a classical approach, so they don't think homeopathy in general does anything.

I think I was on my way out of this world before I used it. He said I was so far down I had nowhere to go but up. I was one sick gal, but nobody could see it.

I just try to explain it to people since it's not widely known, even though it's an old medicine.

You could look for a LLND since you're interested in alternatives. Some LLMDs use alternatives too. There are several approaches you can use to get better.

I would encourage you to look into herbal therapies then. You wish to avoid abx if you can and this doc doesn't believe in herbs power to beat these infections, which means she doesn't know them well enough. A good herbalist (likely a Master Herbalist) that is Lyme literate would be the way to go - or use one of the at home herbal protocols that have been created by a Master Herbalist.

The Samento won't hurt to get started on, but I agree, it's best when combined with Banderol, although you do need to be careful to start off very slowly and at very low doses.

Take a day or two to think things through.

Here's what I'd suggest:

An LL homeopath who also prescribes herbs, or
An LLND, or
An LLMD (many prescribe herbs in their practices as well), or
An LL herbalist.

Bottom line: Lyme Literate is your key. I wouldn't waste your time on anyone else.

Wendy Snow Fogg, at Misty Meadows (herbs) has a good protocol for Lyme called

the Chronic Tonic.

You can make a tea out of the same herbs.
