Quick question that I think I know the answer too but, is the Samento enough to cure Lyme by itself if I took it everyday long term? Im guessing no.

For most people I would say no. But I can't never say never....I will say I have never seen anyone nor heard of anyone healing just from using samento.

opygril and anyone else- what about a combination of Samento and Banderol only long term? Or is this still typically not enough? Or is there some success? Thanks

I think it would be a great starting point for someone still functioning. A lot of people plateau on standard protocols including this one and eventually need some modification to get to 100%.

opugirl - I was just reading your signature and it looks like you have a success story from healing from Lyme Disease. That is great! I just say a Lyme Literate Doctor for the first time since my positive blood test a month ago. I've been sick for at least 5 1/2 years with symptoms. The doctor I saw is a Homeopathy doctor and she has started treating me with herbs and homeopathic medicine. I see you have used this route as well.

I go back and see her in 3 weeks to reassess me and add in another herb if im doing ok on the Samento..

She has Lyme Disease herself and is feeling 90% better. She treated in the states with antibiotics for 1 1/2 years as the herbs were not enough for her.

What would modification be? Like incorporating more herbs?

Yup - incorporating more herbs or switching from one set of herbs to another, using cystbusters, modifying supplements. It is definitely possible to heal completely even if you have had lyme for a long time. It is hard (or at least it was for me) to trust my healthcare providers. A lot of times I didn't but I just kind of went with what they said and then one day I realized I didn't have any symptoms left. Took awhile though!

Wow, that is amazing opugirl. Is your name Beth? Think I saw someone on the forum refer to you by that name and I will call you that instead of opugirl :)

I hope this happens for me! Like I said I just had my first appointment yesterday with my Homeopath and she prescribed me Samento, Ladeum and vertigo pills to start. I see her in a few weeks and she wants to add in the Banderol! Seems like she is going in the right direction for treating this? I have a hard time trusting my healthcare providers as well. I think it is so hard for me because I was ignored for so long and told my symptoms were nothing, cause by "being a busy mom" and it was anxiety... etc etc. Finally I learned about Lyme Disease a couple months ago and asked for the test. My ELISA IgG-IgM came back REACTIVE and my Western Blot IgG NON REACTIVE IgM Weakly REACTIVE.

I met this doctor for the first time yesterday and I'm going to try to build trust and confidence in her! She is a very nice lady and very calming. Like I've said she had Lyme's before and she was very knowledgeable about it.

What are modifying supplements? Also, is there herbs out there used for cystbusters? Which ones are commonly used? Thanks!

Yup I am Beth. :) I was active on the forum for some time but then I had my son in January and BAM-busy busy, busy!! Sounds like you found a good homeopath. :) I like it when you start out with just a few things. It can get very complicated to try to figure out what is helping and what isn't when you are thrown a lot of stuff to take.

I meant just changing herbs up a bit. There are herbs that are adaptogens which can be really good for chronic infections. A lot of folks on here take eleuthrococcus. Echinacea was good for me.

There are herbs that are cystbusters. I didn't use them until I was a few months in on treatment. I used nattokinase, then wobenzym N. I would switch those out monthly. Others use lumbrokinase, GSE, serrapeptase, bromelain ( one of the active ingredients in wobenzym)
