Hi P,

Was just wondering how you treated your fungal sinus infections?

My LLMD said she didn't need to culture the sputum, and that she could order something from an online compounding pharmacy. She said I could add whatever it was to my saline rinse.

Do you know of a good online c. pharmacy?

Did you just take orals, and if so, did you take both diflucan and nystatin, or just nystatin?

sorry if this has already been answered. I wasn't sure I wanted to read 50 posts!

I treated and eliminated my chronic sinusitis (of 13 months) and chronic bronchitis, throat and ear infection, thrush, and skin and eye problems ALL due to y/f overgrowth in about 3 days with Pure Nystatin powder at 1,000,000 units. Please email me and I will share my wonderful compounding pharmacist's contact info. He ships for free.

Since it had gone so long untreated or more accurately, mistreated (thank you ER docs…) I had developed a VERY SEVERE systemic yeast/fungal crisis. So I also took Diflucan at 200 mg. for about 1 month then switched to Fluconazole, which was more effective for almost a year.

I'm still taking the powder because I started IV abx in Nov, which stirred everything up again.
