Hey,
I've been using the sauna for about 10 years, long before I knew I had Lyme, I just knew I felt better afterwards. Back then I would use it twice a week and that seemed to be enough.
When I started treating the Lyme my sauna use went up a lot, there was a period of about 3 years where I had to use it everyday or I'd feel terrible. I was at the point where you are I think, where the incessant need to detox was a huge burden. Then suddenly about 8 months ago my need to sauna dropped back down to twice a week. This coincided with a general increase in energy, reduction in brainfog, and overall symptom improvements.
I think there may a "detox hump" that you need to get over and then things settle down again. I know in my case it seemed crazy how much toxicity was stored in my body, and how long it took to get the bulk of it out. I suspect a lot of the toxicity is related to the immediate bacterial die-off, but I also think a lot of old fat-soluble neurotoxins are also sequestered, if you've had it for a long time. Getting all of it out is at least half the battle I think.
Also I'm not sure what kind of sauna you're using but I've found that the cheap portable FIR saunas listed on Amazon and Ebay for around $200 are very effective if you're trying to save money.
