So... of course since I've been dx w/ lyme last yr... im crazy, in Michigan most people and Dr.s think ticks only live way out in the woods and you have to be a hikee to come in contact with one, I havent been able to work/attend college courses because of this and I think my in laws think im lazy UNTIL I start petting their dog and playing with his ear... I look and its a DOG TICK! My boyfriend wasnt w/ me at the time and brushed it off like I didnt know what I found on his parents dog's ear... so low and behold two days later he's sitting outside with our dog and what do you know another DOG TICK... he pulled it off and we killed it but now he believes me... I know the DOG TICK can carry other diseases but does it carry Lyme?

Yes, they can carry Lyme as well as several real other diseases:

You may have just saved them from their unintentional ignorance about
these things!
