Hello, I'm an 18 year old male, Caucasian and approx 5 foot 9 - 5 foot 10. Throughout my childhood and teenage years I have encountered several sensations that can only seem to be neurological in nature.
So, to begin with, in my early years as a child I experienced headaches on a daily period that were so severe that I could barely walk every now and then. I decided to visit a neurologist who gave me MRI scans and determined that I have intense migraines. Well, my headaches have luckily gone away and I doubt my headaches back then would have anything to do with Lyme disease as this was over 10 years ago.
Nevertheless, within the past 6 years I have began to feel odd unusual sensations in which some come and go and some which are still present today. So 6 years ago, I began to feel this extremely uncomfortable feeling "no pain" in my buttocks. This lasted for about 2-3 years and went away on its own. During that time period I also encountered what I think might have been an episode of optic neuritis as my eye sight declined drastically, I was prescribed glasses, however my vision also improved back to normal on its own... Strange?
Additionally, the odd sensation from my buttocks spread to my extremities being my fingers and toes. It's a type of sensation that is just so annoying to live with every day. I constantly need to place pressure on my fingers to relieve the feeling. Recently, the feeling has faded from my right half of the body but remains in the left. I visited a neurologist about this as I was worried about MS, he just said no way and did not proceed with any tests, instead he diagnosed my left hand with minimal carpal tunnel syndrome. Yet, I still don't know why I have the same feeling in my toes.
Furthermore, within the past 6 years, I have also experienced occasions of "brain zaps, zings" that only occur on the right side of my body that can be induced by sudden neck movements or eye movements. I've realized that they seem to happen more often under times of stress as well as times with a lack of sleep.
Lastly, over the past year I have had extreme cases of anxiety with up to 5 panic attacks. I feel like my memory is fading and that I'm living with a cloud in my brain. Everything is kind of foggy...
Keep in mind that I experience no muscle weakness, I am able to push myself throughout the day, although im often tired and do take daily naps. However, I am able to visit the gym on a daily basis where I lift heavy weights...
I feel like I'm going crazy and I just wish these odd sensations could go away...
I have eliminated so many possible causes and have recently began to think that I might have a mild case of "chronic" Lyme disease... What do you think?
I will visit a doctor, but would like some support towards my worries...
Thank you
