In reading through the posts, there have been several things people mentioned that they are treating and I wondered if there is a short list to get me started.
For example,
Adrenal function
Liver function
Kidney function
Co-infections - are they usually diagnosed clinically or with blood testing
Viruses - "Virus Panel", what is this and which doctor (primary, etc)
Mold -how do you test for it?
Heavy metals - How do you test for it?
Anything I've missed? Is there some order to get these done?
Has anyone used the CD57 (natural killer cells) to determine if they are improving? If so, when and how often?
I apologize if this is already in the New to Lyme thread, but if it is not would it make sense to add something?
Thanks, Kim

Candida/yeast
Heavy metals are tested by urine. Adrenals are tested by saliva.

My LLMD doesn't suggest testing CD-57 more than once a year. It's not a good indicator of how much you're improving. Mine was 14 when I started treating over a year ago. There hasn't really been much point in testing it again, as I know I'm not well yet.

Any doctor can test you for different viruses, it's best to find one that will run tests for the most number.
Co-infection testing is worse than Lyme disease testing, so the best thing is to have a LLMD that is willing to just diagnose you clinically.
The CD57 is a tricky thing. It can add to the overall suspicion of chronic Lyme, but since not everyone with chronic Lyme has a low CD57 and it doesn't indicate how sick a person is with Lyme (even those that are desperately ill can have high CD57 #'s), it's not that helpful usually. They don't even know what all makes a CD57 low.
Thyroid function is another one that you need to look into.
Mold - do you believe you have an issue with mold? Do you see or have you ever lived where you could see black mold? If you wish to test your living quarters, you can buy a mold testing kit at places like Lowes and Home Depot and do it yourself.

As far as co-infections go, Babesia is pretty much definite. This all started with my doc prescribing Plaquenil for joint pain I haven't had ever in 35 years. Drenching sweats gone. Pain on the bottom of my feet gone. I know there's going to be more to do on that and once I get to the point i can handle treatment for the Lyme, I'll be investigating it with the right doc.
Bartonella, also seems likely based on symptoms. Again I'll work that out.
CD-57. I get that all of this is more art than science. As a former scientist and engineer, I still have trouble with it but certainly the last 20 years has shown that to be true.
Mold. That's the tough one. It's definitely possible but not likely from my house. My mother-in-law had it mega but for a lot of reasons the only time I spent in there was to run the mold tests. It wasn't needed because we could see it everywhere but our intent was to see if any of it was really bad. We got pages and pages back, but my MIL will outlast all of us.
So I guess the question is can mold and/or fungus last indefinitely as long as our body feeds it. A lot of people mention mold, but not how they found out they had it. I guess it could be the last thing standing, but some people seem to say they can't clear the Lyme and co unless they get rid of it. So any ideas on symptoms, etc?
My thyroid numbers are good but they went wacko years ago. I have them under control with synthroid and we watch them. if things feel wrong, i'll get them rechecked. That's no biggy.
My pcp believes in Eastern Medicine and as interested as I am in finding answers. I'm sure I'm one of her most difficult patients. When you call after hours and say "my blood pressure is through the roof, x,y, z it has been fine for more than a year so I stopped my meds, what can I do?" and her response is "Kim, relax. It Jennifer. Do you remember what med you were on? I don't want to prescribe something new because of your history of allergic reactions." You either have a very winning personality or you give the doc fits. Between me and my kids, our docs have learned a few things.
Thanks for your help,
Kim

Actually, if you have been exposed to mold and are sensitive to it, then it's quite possible that you won't be able to heal until you treat the mold. Many that are sensitive to it carry the mold spores in their nose/sinuses. Testing is a nasal swab.
Well, I finally managed to heal using Eastern Medicine, so I happen to think it's a good thing! But I can tell you that trying to educate your doctor enough to help you heal really adds a lot of stress and "pressure to perform" on the patient. I didn't have a choice, as no one else would take me on as a patient, but I know that it's possible to heal this way.
