doxy and a cyst buster?

Two weeks ago... I finished my 2000 mg of amox for 30 days... I still feel like dirt, I really slacked on my detox baths and did have a lymph drainage massage last Thursday, so I dont know if Im just full of toxins or its Lyme coming back full force.

Earlier in the yr, I did zithro and felt like this then felt better, BUT I think my Lyme keeps coming back because I need a cyst buster!

I see a nurse practitioner that has worked under a llmd, my insurance pays for her... but she never mentioned a cyst buster but did say she would give me a month then I would go on Doxy, I also see a naturopath Aug. 11Th that I am PRAYING she can help me, at the natural institute she is at they have a Lyme anectdote (sp) but I dont know if its just for the early lyme.

Anyways what is the best cyst buster when combined with doxy?

My doctor put me on tinidazole as a cyst buster with doxy. Some people use flagyl. These are prescription drugs. Hopefully some others who use natural/herbal cyst medications will chime in with those options such as grapefruit seed extract. Your ND should be able to help you with those choices.

Unless you were also taking probenecid with the ammox - it doesn't stay in the blood stream long enough to be effective for Lyme, according to Dr. Joseph Burrascano - a founder of ILADS - in his paper, "Advanced Treatments in Lyme Disease" :

Here is what Buhner has to say about GSE:
"I did not look at GSE in lyme as it is not very systemic. It should be effective for lyme infection of the GI tract but I doubt it would do well for the central nervous sytem or secluded cysts."
So I would say that it's not as good as most believe.

Ahh yes! Thank you Trav! I think the ammox only killed some of the bacteria but didnt stop it from reproducing... yuck! But I have my naturopath appointment Aug. 11Th so I am hoping for a miracle! I just dont have the money to do it all natural, Im not even working right now... this really is the rich mans disease


So is cats claw a andiograph that is good for a cyst buster?

Of course I could be wrong, but I've not seen that cat's claw is a cyst buster. For general Lyme treatment, Buhner says that Japanese knotweed is the best one to start with, and then that andrographis is a good cyst buster.

O ok! Thanks so much :-) so what if I did an abx covered by insurance along w/ a cyst buster... like doxy and japanese knotweed, if the two can be taken together

Just wanted to say that Amox - should be a minimum of 3000 mg per day (and up to 6000 if often needed) - divided into three doses Plus the Prebenicid.
