How soon do ELISA results come back?

With the ELISA test, how long does it take for the results to come back?

I thought it was only a day or two....but I need to double check.

Less than seven days for non-reactive Elisa and Within 14 days for Reactive Elisa because then they would need to run the second test, the western blot.

Yea my Lyme Reflex to Western Blot took about 5 days, it came back negative like always.

My western blots come back positive.

Dont get attached to Lyme ELISA, she will cheat on you. :P

I agree with Marine - the ELISA will miss around 70% of those that actually have the infection, and cannot be relied on at all for late stage infections like you would have.

Even the Western Blot misses at least 50% of those that actually have the infection, but at least we can look at the bands that were reactive and know if the person is showing any signs of immune activity against these bacteria.

But again, in late stage infections, the immune function against these bacteria is unlikely since the bacteria have means of literally hiding from the immune system.
