Does anyone have something to decipher NutraHacker Results

I ran my 23andme results through both NutraHacker and Genetic Genie. There is little to no information about what the results mea

In NutraHacker, it gives some information but it doesn't explain the red and yellow. Without a lot of research the explanation they give is gibberish.

Genetic Genie is a little better but a deeper explanation would be better.

I an NOT asking for someone to go gather info and make it available. If someone has the information and can pass it on or provide a link, that would be great.

PS I don't seem to have the MTHFR mutations but it seems there are others that have effects on detox an methylation.

Thanks. You are spot on about the colors. I have a lot of reading and research.

The saying goes "a little information is a little a dangerous thing." It's been a bit of time since I took genetics but I remember enough to make me think too deeply about what I'm reading. There is more to it than heterogeneous or homogeneous, but I understand why that makes a good way to look at it.

The interesting thing about this is that I have mutations which share a hearing loss with alcoholism. My mother is almost completely deaf and always has been. Alcoholism runs in the family. My daughter in her tween years had significant hearing loss. So significant that she had to wear hearing aids in both ears. Then on one followup visit she tested normal in both ears. The audiologist rechecked the results several different ways.

The only thing that was different was she had been put on thyroid medicine because she was going through puberty and her height wasn't keeping up with the rest of her development. At the time the docs at UNC Children's Hospital couldn't explain it. Everyone was mystified because thyroid hormone shouldn't have acted on her hearing at all. Now it makes sense that thyroid hormone must have some effect on how the mutations (likely a combo) are expressed. Once her thyroid levels were corrected, her hearing improved.

Makes me wonder if my Mom's hearing could have been normal if the practice of medicine had been better when she was y daughter's age.

Can't wait to find out what comes up in my daughter's results. I haven't done the tests yet but it's definitely something I'm going to have done. Certainly worth the $99. I'm sure her pediatrician will find it interesting too.
