I don't mean to be annoying by this correction; Lyme isn't a virus, it's a bacteria-a living organism that you're not just simply 'exposed' to. The bacteria are either there or not...not like viruses that remain in your body as either active or dormant. Bacteria have a cycle of life which makes it difficult to detect-especially intracellular bacterium that invade the white cells.
BTW, my Lyme results were also only 1*on a band w/Ind. On most ALL of the rest, and my Lyme literate ND still said, "I don't think you have Lyme". BUT, she's been treating me for Lyme & Co-infections anyway, due to symptoms and co-infections!
My MD, who I must still see for thyroid meds thinks I'm nuts, and need antidepressants, and to stop reading and researching stuff online...Even tho I have a history of allergic reaction to antidepressants, my MD said, "So, you're not even going to try it"? She also was quite rude when I told her about the U.V.B.I treatment to treat the viruses-she said, "It sounds like a lot of money for something that may not work"! My reply, "Its waaay cheaper than chemotherapy & radiation, and surgery that my friend w/ovarian cancer had & she died"
We just have to laugh inside over their ignorance-I'm sorry to say
Also, we can't let them get to us, otherwise WE WILL GO CRAZY!!!
