Ppl who treated babesia With the buhner protocol? How long?

for people that are over babesia and used the buhner protocol to heal, how long did it take you using this treatment?

I'll def check that out .....anyone who took the buhner protcol for bab please let me know the time frame of recovery it took for you especially for the brain fog

Our daughter's symptoms were all bartonella, and she had only improved to 80% after 2 years of abx treatment for that infection.

At that point I switched her to Buhner's bart protocol which held her at 80% for 8 months. It was only after I added CSA (from the babesia protocol) that she really started improving drastically.

Within a week of adding CSA the teacher was calling to ask what I had done. Her ability to understand math and improved significantly!

Due to herxing issues, she is only taking 1/4 of the recommended dosages of everything (both bartonella and babesia protocols) except knotweed which she can handle at full dose.

Both she and I have been using the bartonella protocol since Apr 2013 with the addition of the babesia herbs CSA in Nov 2013 and red root in Aug 2014. We remain on low 1/4 doses and will do so for a while longer.

Both of us are currently asymptomatic. It took only a few months after adding red root to really reach that point.

In addition to the herbs in both of the protocols we also use cordyceps infusion and cilantro, turmeric and ginger tinctures.

K noticed a significant improvement in cognitive ability/executive function shortly after starting CSA. I did a little, but I saw a big improvement with the addition of red root (which improves circulation). Buhner is now recommending Dan Shen instead of red root because of potential clotting issues with red root. We use both.

I've been using Buhner's Lyme, babesia and bartonella protocols for over a year. My infections are extremely old (+ 30 years or so)....which is why I'm still dealing with them. I also have really bad adrenal fatigue, which is delaying my recovery too. That said....I feel like my Lyme symptoms have been pretty well controlled for a while. Recently, bartonella has started to fall back. Babesia is at the forefront now.

His book talking about babesia and a could other things just came out a few months ago, and there are a couple differences between his newest protocol and the version I was doing. Specifically the use of red sage instead of red root. Red sage is working a lot better than the red root did for lymph support.

All his books are excellent and very helpful. There's a big update to Healing Lyme that's coming out by the end of the year, so it might be worth holding off on that one until then.

He recommends a lot of herbs for brain function and support, and I've found they all do work. Stephania, kudzu, Chinese skullcap and Chinese Senega root. I've been taking motherwort too, and it has helped but I'm not sure if I want to continue it. It can affect thyroid function....even though my thyroid labs look good, it feels like my skin has gotten dryer since I started it.

I'd be happy to answer more questions and talk about the version of the protocol I'm using in more detail. I'll try to be back later today, but things are a bit rough right now.
