Anyone order Nystatin (or other pharmaceutical drugs) in the mail?

If so, do you worry about the temperatures affecting the quality? Do any of your providers take measures to negate any possible damage, whether from extremes of hot or cold? I'm sure it varies, from product to product, so this is only for those that apply.

But, yes, the reason I ask - I plan to order some Nystatin from a supplier in Canada, and I imagine it'll take a couple weeks or so to get here, at the longest (hopefully).

Though, in the product description, it's stated that it should be stored in the refrigerator (between 36 and 46 degrees F).

I don't want it going bad or anything. It's about my only option though, taking that risk, as I'm not able to get it anywhere else.

It all depends on the supplier. If it takes a few weeks to get to you because of processing info and such, but is only in transit for a few days, then I would take the chance. But if it is actually in transit for a few weeks, I wouldn't do it. Some medications can cause stomach and kidney issues when they are affected by extreme temperatures.

Where are you located? I am sorry you are having so much trouble getting a nystatin prescription?!

Thanks for all the responses. Anyone seen Pirouette by the way? I suppose I could check around the forum myself, just wondering. She mentioned having a Canadian supplier to me in an email a few weeks back, and I'm pretty sure she said that they didn't require shipping fees, which would be awesome.
