do I need my picc line adjusted????

I had my picc line adjusted, I was showing arrhythmia, palpitations, my chest felt really heavy.
For me it was easy though, cause the hospital is only 5mins away. They put me on a heart monitor, took an x-ray to see where the end of the line was located at and then decided to pull it back 3cm.
It wasn't in too far for 'normal' people (that's how they said it LOL), but apparently it irritated my heart, although it wasn't touching anything. Immediatly after that I felt a 1000 times better.

The vascular surgeon was waiting for me to arrive at the ER, ready to examine me. He was clearly worried. He said though that it would not cause permanent damage, that it wasn't dangerous, but that it was better to pull it back a bit.
They ended with a second x-ray to see if it looked fine.

Oh I'm so happy I didn't have to go anywhere!

My guy checked me out really good and noticed some bruising on that side of my chest right where it hurts. One of those little bones right there was sticking out a bit farther than the other side too. I was sooooo happy when he found that!

I also have some bruising around my ankle. I've literally been in bed or on the couch. I don't know how or why I'm all bruised up. I'm still a bit sore obviously but it's not super bad like yesterday. The bruising on my chest feels pretty deep. I wonder if the actual bone is bruised?!

I remember my hair kind of falling in the way when I was vomiting so when I moved it quickly mid retch that's probably when I hurt it. I'm so deconditioned at this point I wouldn't be surprised if something that simple would hurt me. I'm pretty dang frail these days.

Either way I'm really really happy. Seeing my doctor in the morning and having the pain on the opposite side of the picc made me feel confident it was OK to stay home. My mother in law is a nurse and checked me out and obviously wanted me to go but got me all settled in bed and forced pain meds down my throat lol. It was the right thing to do for sure. I feel so lucky to have her! And my guy!
