My LLMD believes mycoplasma is my primary issue that my body is dealing with. Anyone ever get treated for this and what were your results like after treatment? How long did it take to notice improvement?

Sorry, we haven't treated specifically for mycoplasma, but if you read Buhner's book on mycoplasma as a coinfection you will find that he suspects mycoplasma to be responsible for many diseases, including some cancers and autoimmune diseases.

Buhner's take is that mycoplasma acts parasitically, scavenging nutrients and leaving the infected person with deficiency diseases.

I found this article this morning associating mycoplasma with RA and how Mercola has had success treating with nutrition. A really good overview:

I read it was treated with either tetracyclines (doxy/mino) or macrolides (biaxin/zithro) and it's usually treated when lyme is treated - as lyme treatment involves one or both of those - at some point in time.

I don't know what herbs would be used if you choose the non pharmaceutical route.

My doctor is treating it with Byron White formula A-myco. Also taking a few detoxing supplements to prep for IV treatment in a few weeks.

Byron whites a-myco kicked my butt. I never got passed just a few drops. My doctor decided to go after mycoplasma when I was complaining of being in constant pain in most of my body. Apparently it can do that.

I still haven't noticed any improvement after being in treatment for nearly a year now. I've puked up too much medicine and it didn't get a chance to work- pretty sure that's why I have had such crappy progress.

I've heard that it takes a year or two to treat mycoplasma but everyone is different. It responds to most of the same herbs and abx as lyme. So you're probably treating both no matter what you're taking.

Good to know! I'm having a difficult time taking a lot of supplements. Feeling nauseous like you. But I'm up to 10 drops a day so far.

a myco.....very good product,been taking for 3 months now...along w zithro my plasma # has gone down by 30 %.....next b test will "hopefully" show another % drop.....waiting is like watching grass grow,progress feels good.
