new here... need help... reactive 23igm and 41igg

Hello everyone,

So happy to find this forum and hope for some help. I have had strange symptoms the past 4 months or so with numbness weakness tingling and some joint pain especially in my hands. My doc was convinced it was Lyme or tick borne. She ran a western blot but according to cdc I am negative although I am reactive for 23igm and 41 igg. Interestingly it makes a suggestion directly on my results to be tested again in a few weeks if even just one protein is positive, yet my doctor simply said it is negative and left it at that.

I live in south Jersey borderline central jersey and think I need to seek a specialist on this. I would also greatly appreciate any input. Thanks in advance to any suggestions you can make on specialists or on my results.

Get an appointment ASAP with a ILADs trained Lyme Literate MD (LLMD).

Post a new topic saying "Seeking an LLMD in southern NJ (or list a large nearby city). Edit your member profile to accept e-mail, and folsk here will recommend someone close to your area.

Read thru topic #1 for info on Lyme and co-infections.

I'm glad you found us here, as we can help you.

You should see a LLMD - as he/she is the 'expert' in Lyme disease diagnosis/treatment. We can help you find one, as tickbite suggested - start a new thread.
I see you already have your email enabled, that's good, as we can't post names of the LLMD's on here - for privacy reasons.

Also, take a look at the thread at the top of the page titled: "New to Lyme?...Start Here!" - It's full of good information - symptom lists, information on probiotics, detox ideas..and much more.

Thanks girlie. I did that so hopefully I'll get some names soon. Really want answers and hopefully some relief. I have 4 young kids and some of these symptoms have really scared me!

You are blessed with 4 children!!

Yes, it is scary to have these symptoms...that's why this forum is so wonderful. I don't know how i would have managed without it.
The best advice i have received has come from here. I have a good LLND (I'm in Canada, we don't have LLMD's) - but he can't be available everyday for my questions, concerns, fears...etc.

I hope you come back to read, and ask us questions, or when you need support.
