I think the parallel you're looking for, umm, is germ warfare testing, though I can't say for certain.

There were a few cases of plague reported in the Phoenix area a number of years ago, and biological and other types of military testing do occur in the mid west, so there was a likely connection in that part of the country.

I don't know about Yosemite, except to say that there are a lot of rodents there, and hikers and campers do sometimes get the plague.

Fortunately, it's treatable once it has been dxed.

There are still so many things we don't know about Lyme, cos, and vector borne diseases.

There are probably tons of coinfections we don't even know about.

You should look up the history of the bubonic plague. It's quite interesting.

I'm not one for conspiracy theories. Accidental releases I can believe, people are fools.

We are so impacted by poor nutrition, chelated minerals made unavailable with glyphosate spraying/conventional grain dessication, pathogenic gut bacteria because pesticides act as antibiotics killing good probiotics, heavy metal burdens from arial spraying and vaccinations.

We all become more susceptible to infection when our immune systems are not functioning properly. Even the more mundane, run-of-the-mill bacteria can have bad consequences when we are incapable of fending them off.

Rowingmom, some conspiracy theories aren't theories, and sometimes there is proof.

I don't know much about testing that took place in the Southwest, except that I know a writer/journalist who knew something about it.

I know quite a bit about Plum Island, which is definitely not a conspiracy theory.

There certainly are such things as conspiracy theories for which there is no proof.

As for the plague, I don't think it has caused any deaths in the U.S., and I don't know for certain why it's in the U.S.

And of course, we are indeed exposed to pesticides, chemicals, etc. etc., none of which helps.

Worth consideration, but I think we have too many other things to worry about right now. I just wouldn't go camping in the mountain West. Well, actually, I probably would if I could; you know me!! :)
