still "acute" if 3 weeks post bite, with symptoms?

Hi everyone,
My apologies for all the messages -- just trying to get my head around what is best course for my niece. (this is harder than dealing with my own infections -- and her mother is going over the edge about it all . . .)

She thinks the bite was around Aug. 2-3; symptoms started showing almost immediately . . . looks like we are past any "prophylactic" phase with treatment.

But would my niece still be considered "acute" or "early disseminated" at this point? (assuming it is lyme, which it really looks like)

I know this is probably impossible to answer, but what would be prognosis for treatment at this stage?

I'm inclined to think early disseminated mostly because of the symptoms.

You are right - it's really impossible to know what prognosis for treatment will be but, her getting treated now/very soon can only improve the prognosis.

Is she detoxing yet? That can only help.

I would agree with the 'early disseminated' as well - unless she begins to show symptoms body wide. Lyme goes "chronic" at different rates for different people depending on what all their body is trying to deal with at the time.
