I looked through the threads & too many so I am lazy asking here. For those who have used, what beginning dose & ratcheting up is best? Do most get from Woodland Essence? Thx!

I believe Buhner recommends 1/4 tsp three times a day.

I try to take 1/2 tsp two time a day.

I bought the individual tinctures from Woodland Essence. This way, I knew how I'd react to the individual herbs.

I started out with 1 drop of Cryptolepis TID and stayed at the dose for 3 days before adding 1 drop of Sida Acuta TID. I did the same thing with Alchornea.

I've stayed at 3 drops each CSA only because I'm adding other herbs from Buhner's protocols and I want to get them all going at low doses before I slowly increase.

Forum members advised going a bit more slowly than what I've been doing - they advised upping doses/adding a new herb every 4-7 days.

I'm sure you recognize that responses are individual-specific and depend greatly upon bacterial load/detoxing ability.

I've been able to detox any herxes away. However, I will not submit to temptation and try to rush things. I've had my worst-ever herxes on herbs....no need to repeat that lol

I also buy from Woodland Essence - and I buy my herb tinctures individually, as well.

Otherwise, you won't know what's causing the reaction if there is one.

I buy mine from woodland essence as well. My llnd recommends starting with 15 drops with water twice daily. Increase 5 drops every other day as tolerated until 60 drops twice daily.

That may be a bit aggressive so you have to tailor dosage to how you react.

I haven't worked into this part of my treatment regimen yet. Still trying to fully work in the artemisinin and alinia.

I started out at 5 drops for the individual tinctures. If you're highly sensitive, you can start lower. I'm pretty sensitive with meds. I usually react more strongly to antibiotics than herbs. It depends though.

I bought mine from Elk Mountain. They don't have a CSA tincture, just individual herbs. The Sida is Cordifilia, not Acuta at Elk Mountain. I seemed the most responsive to Sida and Alchornea. The Crypto aggravated blood sugar somewhat for me, but I guess that is not common. I'm considering getting Crypto-Plus from Researched Nutritionals. It has some other herbs, including among others, Black Walnut (another anti-parasitic). I think there might be one other place that sells a CSA tincture, but I can't remember for sure. It is not a very common mixture.

I have not tried Woodland Essence yet. I think some of the tinctures from Elk Mountain are more concentrated, but it depends. I ordered the individual tinctures because I wanted to know how I would react to each herb. I also read that it is stronger (have not compared myself yet). If you add in multiple herbs, it is cheaper to buy the CSA. It is time for me to reorder. So, I'm trying to decide what and where to order.

1/4 a day went to 1/2 for a couple weeks and herxed so bad with fatigue I went back to 1/4 for now along with a bunch of other stuff I take

Can somebody tell me what 1/4 tsp is equivalent to? How many drops is that?

I think 1/4 tsp is about 5 ml. I just take about 6 dropper fulls

1/4 tsp = 30-32 drops
