Be careful if your supplementing for the MTHFR gene mutation( I just got my blood test back)

So when i found out I had this genemutation back in march, my doctor put me on a prescription vitamin of Folate, B6 and B12 and Zinc. I have been taking it once a day since march and should't have been. My primary at the time prescribed me it and my LLMD decided i should get those levels checked since iv been taking it daily for so long. You should get your levels checked once a month if your taking a supplement like this for the mutation. my blood levels are SKY HIGH, SKY HIGH.

My B12/Folate............... Greater >1999 HIGH......normal range 211-to 946.....wowwwwww

MY B6 is 79.1............Normal range 5.3- 46.7.........wooooow

My ZINC levels are 1058 high...........normal range 440-860

Found out my vitamin d is 58.3 which is good I was told.

Other thing I found out that is HIGH is my A/G Ratio is 3.2 Normal is 1.1-2.5 said it could be from inflammation.....im not sure?

ALSO my EOS(Absolute) level is 1.3 HIGH normal level is 0.0-0.4.....wow
high number of eosinophils (eosinophilia) is often linked to allergic diseases and infections from parasites such as worms. IDK if this is because of candida or babeisa or what this is causing this?

I think D levels in the U.S. should be about 50. I can't remember if it is the active or inactive. The second one is generally higher, probably around 100 if I recall correctly.

That makes sense Girlie. It sounds right to me. I think it is the Active that should be around 50 and the inactive around 100-150.

It has been a little while since I checked.

I went on the Vit D active/inactive merry-go-round with my GP after I asked her to check my active level which showed quite elevated.

Turns out, the inflammatory process associated with Lyme can do this. The body's tissues "overconvert" inactive Vit D into the active form.

I've since learned that Vit D deficiency is associated with the inactive level which, in the US, can range from 30-100 (optimal being 70 per Vitamin D Council)

So, myeezy24 - what did your doctors have to say about those crazy-high levels?

Did they check your Bilirubin, "Gilberts syndrome",its a liver related a connection with some gene mutations. I'f not, check it - insurance covers this standard MD test. Some think this also leads to natual in ability to detox well, methalation issues. I have this too.

As far as I know, gene mutations for liver are not generally done individually, you must use 23andme. I recommend it. Best $100 spent. Unfortunately, mutations are not easily fixed with supplements as you are finding out.

the vitamin d range on my sheet shows normal between 30 and 70 so idk what it is but mine was normal the reason everything is so high isn't because my body isn't absorbing it it's because since March I was taking an insane amount thru a prescription vitamin not just a regular supplement that turns your piss green when you had enough it's not like that with this he told me to stop for awhile then only take it on Monday Wednesday and Friday instead of every day and astroman yeah he checked that and my liver he checked everything else is fine I posted what wasn't normal

I go back end of month to see how much they drop off stopping for a week and going to 3 days a week instead of every day
