What else should I add for detox?

I'm trying to stay on top of my detoxing so I was wondering if any of you had any suggestions to add to what I'm already doing. I'm currently doing the following:

Burbur and Pinella
Lots of lemon water
Dry skin brushing 2x day
Epsom salt foot baths with hydrogen peroxide

That's it. I plan on pushing forward with treatment and I'm wondering if I need to do more. Any input would be appreciated!!

You are doing some of the best detox methods.

However, I'm not seeing anything for liver support (milk thistle is optimal if you don't have a ragweed allergy)

An easy addition would be a cold rinse after your shower...this causes blood vessels to constrict and get lymph fluid moving. I'm sure you know our lymph system is a major player in the body's detoxification systems.

Instead of just taking Alka Seltzer Gold during herxes, I've been taking it twice/daily after reading another member's report of her LLMD's suggestion to do this. I'm very happy with the decision.

Depending on how much herxing you are experiencing now, and if it increases, remember to add in as much as you need to in order to keep your journey from being any bumpier than necessary.

Oil pulling is an easy one to add in.

Binders such as activated charcoal or natural clays that you can take internally.

Lymph massages

Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) or Glutithione

Milk thistle (if you have a rag weed allergy you may react to this though!!)

Sauna

That's all I can come up with, but I'm sure others will have a lot more suggestions!

CD, can you tell us more about the differences you have seen/felt in taking the alka seltzer gold twice a day instead of only just during herxing?

It's hard to describe but, I feel more "stable" with my symptoms and my herxes don't seem as intense as they could be if I was chasing the horse after it got out of the barn ;) (taking Alka Seltzer Gold after a herx starts)

Wow, that was a lot of horse talk lol But, it's the truth :)

Oh, I left my computer with this thread open and realized I forgot to mention a binder. I regret not starting one sooner in my treatment. Taking one in the middle of the night literally helps me feel "cleaner" inside but, it's not just in the bowels ;)

Very interesting about the alka seltzer gold!! Makes me wonder if we shouldn't be encouraging people to take it like that, especially when they are prone to herxing hard?

And you're talking with an old horse trainer here, so it made perfect sense to me!!! LOL!

Thanks for the tips! I was thinking about adding a binder but I read in nutramedix website, cowden mentioned to only take one if absolutely necessary. Not sure what that means, and if there were any possible negative side effects?

You have to keep it two hours away (before and after) from anything you want your body to absorb is the only catch. I like to think of it as finding a 4 hour time block where I'm not taking anything - food, tinctures, meds, supplements - and then I actually set an alarm to be sure I take the charcoal at the right time, right in the middle of the 4 hours.

Or I would take it in the middle of the night when I got up for my nightly run to the bathroom!!
