Mepron and Malarone are about
the same except the latter also has proguanil (another type of antimalarial). Some folks respond better to one or the other.
2 months is not that long to gage progress. It takes at least 4 months treatment (life of red blood cells) and many people tx for much longer.
Most also pair Mepron with zith to prevent building resistance. Some LLMDs also prescribe 2 tsp twice a day. Are you measuring with an actual tea spoon or a real measuring spoon/cup? I pretty much got 30 days out of my bottle. Also are you eating some fats to help with absorption? Some cashews or peanut butter helps.
Others pulse Artemenisin (sp?) with Mepron, but Buhner is now recommending Sida Acuta and/or Cryptolepsis. On the phrma side, others add Bactrim DS to their protocol. TindaMax also has anti-parasitic properties.
Babs is a b*Tch. I thought I had a Mepron resistant strain of Babs and tried everything under the sun, but didn't improve until I hit Bart for the second time. Be patient
