niece in Ontario: blight red blood when she had BM this morning

Hi everyone,

uptight aunt here.

My niece just texted -- she had some dripping of bright red blood this am when she had a bm. This has never happened before. She says she is getting lots of fiber.

Thoughts? hemorroid? Anal fissure?
Or could this be from the doxy she is still on?
I don't think this is commonly associated with lyme and bart?

The good news is that she is making improvements steadily. Still symptoms, but D. P in Buffalo was please enough this week that she wants to stay the course for now in terms of treatment plan.

I agree - bright red blood - usually means it's at or near the end of the line (so hemorrhoid or fissures are plausible explanations) - but she should definitely see a Dr. and a rectal exam should be able to confirm either of the two...
