I've read some people here get high inflammation results on these tests. I dont, even though I have a lot of muscle / tendon / joint pain.
I would think that autoimmune Hashimoto would also show inflamation, .....nope, even though its an inflammation process from antibodies attacking the thyroid.
My LLMD siad its not uncommon for lymies to NOT show it on these two tests, because we have a different type of inflammation.
Q) So are there some other tests that might show my inflammation? I would like some numbers that show it for proof if needed.
thanks

An elevated active Vit D 125 level is indicative of inflammation.
Homocysteine is another marker.
And, this link shows some other tests for inflammation:

D-125
Most of us in the US get the D-25 test which is the right test to evaluate deficiencies and such. The D-25 test actually measures storage hormone.
The D-125 test measures the active hormone that the kidneys and other organs converted from D-25.
Part of the inflammatory process associated with Lyme and Co's can cause over-conversion and an elevated D-125 level.
It can also happen in sarcoidosis.

Forgot another thing lol
Most people with Hashi's have elevated TPOab's and/or TGab's - don't you?
I'm sure you know that TPOab's are markers of thyroid inflammation....
Truly, though....just like Lyme tests, thyroid antibody tests don't tell all.

Hi Astroman,
My dr does these tests regularly in order to determine inflammation:
A proinflammatory cytokine panel ( IL-1β, IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, IL-12p70, TNF, TGF-β1, MIP-1β, MCP1)
Prostaglandin E2 level
Both of these are very indicative for inflammation, not noticable through the usual blood panel. I don't know though if all labs do these tests cause they're pretty specialized. I know they don't over here.
