Garlic herx?

One of my worst symptoms from Lyme is IBS. For a long time I avoided eating garlic because it would make things flare up and increase my constipation. Naturally everyone I talk to thinks it is due that to yeast or that I need more probiotics but my symptoms have never improved with antifungals both herbal and prescription, diets, probiotics or a combination of everything I just said.
The only thing that has ever worked are intracellular anibiotics. Anyway I have notice that the consistency of my stool is more normal when I eat garlic and I seem to tolerate it better with the low does antibiotics I am on, sorry if that is TMI. It is almost like they are a synergist of each other.
I started eating a couple cloves of fresh garlic a day last weak and notice some almost immediate improvements with my energy, libido ext. Now after being on it for almost a weak I feel like I am having a strong herx and my guts are feeling horrible. Have any of you ever herxed form Garlic? Also I am thinking about buying an allicin supplement but it is hard to know what ones actually deliver. With most of them not having as much allicin as they say or the allicin doesn't convert for some reason. I have been looking at Alliultra any one ever try this?

For the constipation I have resorted to buying a capsule maker and filling up the capsules with epsom salt. It works and is a lot easier on my system than a saline laxative because I can take just a couple to get things moving. Plus you don't have to taste that nasty stuff!
As for garlic from what I have been researching a lot if not most of the supplements are worthless. Even the one I was looking at was tested and found out it only had 250 micro-grams of allicin so actually a 10th of what you would get from a fresh clove. Allicin is unstable and decomposes after a few hours to days. The ones that seem to show the most promise are usually freeze dried garlic and have a base in them that neutralizes stomach acid. They have freeze dried garlic at the super market and I'm considering buying some of that, powdering it in a coffee mill, encapsulating it and then maybe eating it with an ant acid? Or I can just keep eating the fresh stuff, if I drink a little milk with it it is a lot more tolerable and doesn't hurt my stomach. It has made a profound difference with gas and bloating! I was actually able to eat some mexican food the other day complete with corn and beans and I had no gas at all!

Garlic cleans me out! I love MY garlic bread. Sourdough bread, Kerrygold butter and chopped fresh garlic on the top. Yummmmm.

Breath that will kill a dragon. It makes me feel so good.

BUT....

I cannot do it every day or even every other day or I herx. I have to do it maybe only every 3 days but generally it is once a week, barring any functions with people that will be within 5 feet of me. It comes out my pores.

I have not found any garlic that is better than the real thing.
