Back in the early 2000's, abx were the only acknowledged way to heal from these infections. In 2007 - 2010, we had basically one member that had used alternative means to heal, but everyone else that was healing was doing it on abx only.
It was 2010 that I started herbal only treatment and although I and the other person brought it up a lot, it took a while for it to 'catch on' here. I continued to post about my experiences and making herbal suggestions from the little bit I knew because those that used abx only seemed to have such a hard time. I started seeing articles being posted about how those on herbal protocols - either alone or in conjunction with abx use - were generally happier with their treatments, and seemed to be in less misery overall. So I kept posting about herbs and their use with these infections.
As it's easy for most any one to see, herbal/natural protocols are used a lot now, by many people - both as a stand alone treatment and in combination with abx.
A very individualized protocol is needed for each and every person. Using abx alone may or may not be enough for a person, but I still read that those that use an herbal protocol is happier with their treatments and seem to be less miserable overall.
I have recovered from that muscle/tendon pain and atrophy, but I can't pin point what herbs or even what treatment helped it the most, sorry. At least this will bring this back up to the top of the forum for more to see.
