Treatment for Child Needed!!!

Hi Bellyful, the one dose "prevention" of course is based on IDSA's guidelines and is actually stupid. But I digress.

Of course the child will need actual treatment, since the symptoms have already started.

Since they can't afford to see an LLMD, I would suggest that you direct her here or to the Buhner group on Facebook and get her started using Buhner's protocol for the child right away. Don't forget to explain the importance of detoxing though as well! I'm still surprised at how many people don't know about it.

Yes there is plenty of safe protocols that a child can be started on! The Buhner protocol is great! Others that can be done at home are the cowden protocol and the at home protocol from the Hansa Center.

Detoxification is just as important as killing the bacteria. If it doesn't come out it will continue to cause symptoms.

I agree with rowingmom. I think Bartonella is responsible for the tics. My son had seizures which I believe they were more due to Barto than Lyme or maybe the accumulation of toxins from both infections. After seizures, half of his face was "off". He had tics as well, but they are almost gone. He started abx treatment in March 2014. Seizures are gone and tics come ONLY sometimes when he gets nervous. He used to have them every day. Drs said is because of anxiety. But drs. don't know anything when it comes to lyme, so I don't expect much from regular doctors. I stopped listening to them.

Buhner treatment works, but it is a long road to healing. It takes time and patience. And I agree detox is a must.

Yes, there are some really good people out there, but we have to watch out for those that aren't. If your friend takes this lady up on it, encourage her to get it all spelled out in writing to help protect her and her child.
