This was suggested to me as something that lymies can benefit from when ABX did not have lasting results.

I have not "dug into" it yet, new to me. Was told a ballpark figure of $100 per session and around 3-4 sessions should show improvement.

The place that does this mentions its usefull for many health issues (kickstarts healing)and its FDA "cleared" whatever that means. They dont say for lyme (probably legal issues), but LLMD recommends it.

Looks like a chamber of sorts you climb into.

thoughts?

I'm not into throwing $ at weird treatments, (like this one).

Mayo has it online, guess its not hogwash then. Does have some risks.

I have never tried it but would like to know how it goes if you do. I have had more sensitivity to high altitudes and a SPO2 that is on the low side with Lyme infection.

I have the contact info for a gal that cured her Lyme with mild HBOT therapy. If anyone is interested in talking with her, she's a really nice lady and has given me permission to share her email with those that wish to talk with her.

hello everybody,
I have tried it for 6 days at the end of my 9 month antibiotic therapy which appearantly put me into remission.
What got better: brainfog gone-excellent cognitive capacities afterwards, sleeping got normal, energy very good, small aches gone in time.
Downside: relapsed badly after 5 months, after getting 2 colds with many babesia sympthoms that I didn't have before.HBOT is the culprit, I don't know?Or not continuing treatment afterwards because of important clinical improvement?

I'm so sorry that you had such a hard time after using HBOT. Relapses happen any time any treatment is stopped too soon though. Another thing to consider is that HBOT may not be the answer to Babesia, but to Lyme only for you? I do hope that you have gone on to get back into some kind of treatment to treat your Babesia. Do you see a LLMD? Do you need to find one? We can likely help with that.

Hello Traveler,

I restarted treatment but unfortunately fell flat on it second time around.Latests lab work done in Germany show very low cd57 this time, unfortunately.
Having appointment in Germany in january 2016, until then attempting Cowden condensed protocol.Mainly very sick.
Would like any input from any of you who had very low cd57(under 20) if remission was possible after that.
Very oddly I feel much sicker than first time under treatment, maybe having adrenal fatigue, I am looking into that.

I am from eastern europe, by the way.

P.S.I see HBOT as an alternate treatment to improve mental, neurological, mitochondrial function not at killing lyme.At least not as doing it for a weak. blush

I would point you to our "New to Lyme?" thread for a lot of information, and I can give you encouragement in that I've seen quite a few members come through here with a very low CD57 that have healed and gone on to live their lives. I'm sure we have some current members that are seeing improvements as well.

And if I understood your post correctly - that you only used HBOT for one week (7 days), then I can answer part of your question - no, that's not nearly long enough to heal from these infections. That much I learned from talking to a lady that did heal her Lyme infection with mild HBOT only.

These are incredibly complex bacteria that we are doing battle with, normal antibiotic (abx) doses and normal amounts of time on them will not bring healing. You need to see doctors that understand this and choose to treat by ILADS (International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society) treatment guidelines or use one of the at home protocols - like the Cowden's that you mention, or Buhner's.

This seems so interesting but I doubt I'd ever try it, something like that would cause major panic attacks because of claustrophobia. If you do try it, best of luck!

Traveler thank you.I have been following this forum for a long time and the first time it helped me with detoxing and adressing the MTHFR issue.
The clinic in germany is the BCAugsburg and it is Ilads trained.Hopefully they can help me.
They helped my daughter but she had merely 5 or 6 sympthoms.
