Does anyone have the Sunlighten Infrared sauna?  They claim tohave the best emissivity and are far better than most of the saunas as far as ability to detox, effectiveness of their infrared, no off-gassing, etc.  Does anyone have this and if so, how do you feel when using it?

I did some research a couple years ago and decided that sunlighten was the way to go. I've liked mine a lot.

I wonder if mine is the same. It's called Sunlight Sauna. Someone at a home show said it's the same, but someone bought the company and re-named it.

It didn't work for my daughter and I since neither of us can stand hot air around our heads for very long. It also needed a dedicated plug, which they didn't mention when we bought it. So now I need to sell it so we can have the room back.

There are some where you can have your head out if that bothers you.

We use Biomats instead.

I do not own one but I live in the metro area of their headquarters. They have a spa connected to their sales office and the spa has several sauna models that can be used by appointment.

I bought a few sauna packages of 12 uses for a price. I would go 2-3 times a week and use it for about 50 minutes at 145 degrees. Some days I would sweat really well and other days I would just cook. But, 99% of the time I always felt better afterwards. Sometimes I would go in there irritable and tired, and come out refreshed and energized. A few times I could tell the heat caused a small herx, but it never lasted long.

I did some research on saunas for the home and decided I wanted to go with a brand that was hypoallergenic. I didn't want wood with treatments or glue used as adhesive because I wasn't comfortable with inhaling those fumes when heated. Be careful, some manufacturers will tell you their models are made in America - but that just means they are assembled here. They can import many of their pieces from China. If I was going to invest in a sauna for the home, I wanted to feel 100% certain it was safe.

Unfortunately my husband was not on board with purchasing it for the home so, visiting the Sunlighten spa was the next best alternative.

I believe one of the companies that had the hypoallergenic saunas was Heavenly Heat. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and willing to address all questions himself either over the phone or email. There may be others, but I can't recall names off the top of my head.

I don't own one, but Sunlighten's likely the provider I'd go with, if I had the money. I can't really recall the specifics of previous threads on the topic, what all was said, but I feel like they're among the most recommended. Most seem to say they work wonders as well.

Those can't be a bad signs. But, thing is, I really don't know. I haven't done enough looking into it. They're just who I'd go with at first glance, because I've heard some good things. *shrugs*

Though, just looked, and the Heavenly Heat organization lymie mom suggested seems legit. I like the look of their saunas.

I've been tempted to get one cheaper elsewhere, even one of the portable saunas, but, in the long run, I just don't feel like it'd be worth it. Plus, like you guys said, you want to be able to trust that the thing's doing what the seller(s) claim it's to do as well as what YOU want it to do, while not poisoning you, and that the overall build quality is satisfactory, etc.

From the looking I've done, it seems you really can't get a good percentage of peace of mind, spending less than, say 1k. But, even in that price range, you gotta question the quality.
