I was looking through Burrascano's checklist and wondered if there were similar check lists for the cos.

At the end of the day, most every symptom overlaps in each coinfection, with only a few exceptions. IMO, that's one of the major problems with lyme and co because you can never determine which coinfection you have. I think air hunger is pretty unique to babesia. Also I think that shin and knee pain is pretty telling of bartonella, but it could also by a lyme symptom.

My LLMD didn't even bother determining which coinfections I have because he said there is just too much overlap of symptoms. He put me on different antibiotics and we were able to determine which coinfections I have based on my responses to these meds.

I am confused about the air hunger. At my onset when I went to my PCP she asked if I felt like I was breathing a lot (thinking I was having panic/anxiety stuff) and I told her no that it actually felt like I couldn't get a deep enough breath. It wasn't like I was gasping (which is what I thought air hunger was) but I recall just not feeling right like I almost had to remind myself to breathe at times too. It didn't feel natural anymore. That was before I had read anything about Lyme Disease. At this stage we were thinking MS. Based on what I felt at that time, could that be described as air hunger?

That's crazy. Never even considered it. So is it a Lyme symptom as well or primarily Babesia?

It's supposed to be Babesia....not Lyme.

But, having said that - I had what seemed to be air hunger prior to my treament. But, we (Dr. and I) don't think I have babs.
The thing is - how do we know it's the true air hunger?

I have come to realize that when i was having the air hunger - it was like my chest area was being squeezed so I couldn't take a full breath.
I also had tremors in that area when I took a deep breath.
Since treatment for lyme/bart - it's gone away...except for the past several days - when I've been experiencing a bart herx from the Rifampin I am now on.
It was more than air hunger, it was also tight and painful - like I was being squeezed by vice grips - front and back - ribs/thoracic area.
Bart attacks the nervous system - and I'm wondering if my symptoms were due to the nerves in that area.

Sorry to be so long-winded - I don't know if I am explaining it so it can be understood...

Interesting chart of the co-infections. It is not complete IMHO. Candida is missing. Maybe that is not considered a co-infection, but it should be.

My LLMD says air hunger is also a Lyme symptom and it is on some Lyme symptoms lists.

However, the only time I experienced air hunger was as part of a herx on Babesia herbs.

There's several things that could have been listed as well, like mold and EBV and others, but I think the intention was mainly to list only tick-borne infections.
