Which test are you referring to, Roxy? I'm only seeing the Lyme Western Blot where positive and IND bands were reported?

igenex western blot had igm 41++, but indeterminate 23-25, 31, 39. igg41++, 58++ and 31, 39 indeterminate.
lab corp- elisa 2.27 and igm p23 present and igg41 pressent
erlchidia igg 80 and igm <20

Others can correct me if I'm wrong but the IGM was neg but IGG of 80 may or may not suggest active infection for Ehrlichia.

I see that you had the 21 days of Doxy in 2014, it MAY (or may not) have taken care of Ehrlichia if you do in fact have it, but it wouldn't have taken care of Lyme Disease (or other co-infections) if you got it in 2013 and took Doxy in 2014.

Here is Burrascano's guideline for Ehrlichia treatment:
Standard treatment consists of Doxycycline, 200 mg daily for two to four weeks. Higher doses, parenteral
therapy, and longer treatment durations may be needed based on the duration and severity of illness, and
whether immune defects or extreme age is present. However, there are reports of treatment failure even when
higher doses and long duration treatment with doxycycline is given. In such cases, consideration may be given
for adding rifampin, 600 mg daily, to the regimen.

kyo07 do the test results for Ehrlichia do they mean i have been exposed to a co infection of lyme or is it negative no exposure. i know it may not be active, but does that say i had exposure to a tick co infection

I thought since you were 80 it means possible active infection. Do you have any of the ehrlichia symptoms? I was just tested for ehrlichia this week so I don't know as much as others who have treated it. It could be on IGG because it was past and resolved with the Doxy. I think it can hang on IGG for awhile. Please if I am wrong someone please correct me! But it looks like you have Lyme so treating it should ensure you kick the ehrlichia.

What are the reference ranges? That's what we need to see. Each lab has it's own.

Kyo = IgG is the later response.

and yes, by getting effective treatments for Lyme will take care of Ehrlichia and anaplasmosis for those that have those infections. It can also take care of other co-infections as well.

I have an appt on Dec 7 with dr. M.R and wife T.B flying to Seattle Washington. Does anyone know him? Igenex labs for echrilia igm <20 and igg of 80. Do these,sntibodies react with anything. Have I been exposed even if not active to a tick based on these results

I don't know them, but have read good things about them. If you will start a new thread asking about them - just like you posted here to protect them - you will get more responses though.

You will treat the Ehrlichia effectively when you treat the Lyme, so you really don't have to be concerned much about that.

Traveler, I'm only concern cause of my neg igenex, but if it shows I've been exposed to erclichia even if not active than that helps prove I've been exposed to a tick. What do u think

Oh, now I understand what you are trying to get at - sorry!! You should see reference ranges next to your scores. I don't know if they will say something like 0 - 90 is negative or whatever though. The IgG of 80 might be a positive though, as Kyo said.

Even though your Igenex test was 'negative' - you show enough activity for a LLMD to use it along with your symptom history to clinically diagnose you with LD.

Also...your Labcorp test - " igm p23 present" - Band 23 is specific to Lyme disease...nothing else would make that show up.

Dr. M.R. is well-known and has been practicing for many years.

Have you checked out his TreatLyme.net site? He has his treatment plans there.

Thank you all for your support. Sorry for so many questions. I'm just afraid of not having a position test and chasing the wrong dx. I'm exaussted from seeing so many docs and so many test. I pray that he can help me get back to recover and decrease my pain. Dr. M.R seems very nice on his webinars and knowedegable. I'm in tx will travel far as long as I get treated

Heck at one point I think I started three new threads in one day...

A LLMD should not be basing the diagnosis on a positive test result. It's supposed to be a 'clinical' diagnosis. I think Dr. M.R. will be following that.

One more question. If my labcorp had the igm p23 and igg 41, and now igenex has the igm 41++ can we combine the labcorp igm p23 and igenex igm 41 to say it's lyme with more certainly . Any toughts

Knowledgeable doctors won't combine those test results, but they will take them into consideration understanding that you likely were tested at a more opportune time to catch the antibodies being produced by your immune system when you had the blood drawn for the Labcorp testing.

That's all it means, you had blood drawn at a better time to "catch" your immune system making the antibodies to the Lyme bacteria.

Had,a follow up with my primary doctor. She repeated the western blot thru labcorp and it came back with the igm p23, I'm really confused why igenex showed it indeterminate

Each time you test, it's likely that you will come up with different results. That's why it's not recommended to test repeatedly.

I had some cognitive issues - not as bad as some people. Concentrating on tasks - I had trouble with, and some short term memory issues.

But as far as everyone...no...Lyme affects us all differently...we all have our own set of symptoms.
We are unique in that way.

Based on your symptoms, I think you may have both Lyme and Bartonella. Rib and muscle pain are more specific to Bartonella than Lyme. It is possible that "only" Lyme is causing all this, but it is very likely you have both. Do the sole of your feet hurt at all?

I'm glad you made an appointment with a LLMD. You are on the right track.
