What has helped you with hair loss? I'm 27 and losing lots of hair. Not bald patches but clumps at a time and I really noticing it in the shower washing my hair. This has always been a issue for me (5 years) since being sick with Lyme. I going through a "bad" spell of it right now.

I have been taking fish oil for 4 months and though that would of helped. Also my ALA +R has biotin in it and I thought that would of helped also? I have been taking that 3 months. Still losing hair. My MIL told me if you take biotin for too long it can actually make you lose hair? I take 50 mcg twice a day as it is in my ALA +R pill.

I was having some knee pain a long time ago and a knowledgeable woman told me to get Knox Gelatine unflavored in packets and add it to my smoothie. It didn't take the pain away from my knees but my nails got stronger and my hair was growing like crazy.

Hubby and I both like bone broth. Out here in CA it is packaged and organic. We have chicken and turkey and I love the turkey the best. That is suppose to be super good for you too. I know a couple of girls that said it got rid of eczema and leaky gut. I just do it because I like a nice cup of broth without salt or any other additives when I tire of staying hydrated with water and tea.

How is your thyroid ? Have you ever had it tested? If you do get tested make sure they test the T3 and T4 and not just the standard TSH test. I have hypothyroid and through the years (when I was not treating with meds.) my hair has been falling out. I don't have clumps falling out; but when I comb my hair after a shower , there is quite a bit it the comb.

I've only had the standard TSH test and my results were 1.46 and the normal range for the lab used was 0.30 - 5.60 MIU/L.

What protocol are you on? I've found that what I'm taking to kill the little buggers is what makes the biggest difference with my hair. I've seen hair loss and periods were it grows much slower depending on what I'm taking.

If you are on herbs you could go to your closest health food store, tell them what you are taking and why and ask them what you can take that won't interfere with your treatment but will help stop and hopefully even reverse your hair loss.
